  1. That makes it even worse. SMH. This might hurt them once playoff selection time rolls around.
  2. That's the best they could come up with? Reminds me of our game vs. SD Mines. Waste of time and effort.
  3. Isn't Panhandle a bad D-II school? Why would SHSU waste their time playing a team like that?
  4. And we have enough of those right now.
  5. Don't feed this pathetic troll. That is what he wants.
  6. And yet, when NDSU is in the playoffs, we are all supposed to get behind them because it is "good for the whole state". I would rather walk on molten glass then do that.
  7. We won't really know the answers until the end of the season. But I wouldn't bet on us having a winning record if this game is an indicator of what is to come.
  8. I said the contract was a bad idea when it was signed. But Bubba just had to have these games, no matter the consequences.
  9. Why don't you take your sad sack to Bisonville and stay off of our forum?
  10. You could've fooled me.
  11. That is the problem. We "get over it and move on". And it keeps happening again and again and again. This program is still stuck in the mud and if we finish 5-6 or 4-7, Bubba needs to be shown the door.
  12. It's the lack of competitiveness and the lack of concern from so many people in the UND fan base. I have pointed it out many times on this forum and have been told in response that I don't know what I am talking about and I am not a real fan of our teams and whatever other garbage people can come up with. Well, I think I am being proven right. And I am not happy at all about that.
  13. Just cloudy, dreary and cold up in The Forks. Go Fighting Hawks!!!!!
  14. A win today might make next week's Potato Bowl game vs. SHSU a potential letdown disaster. But it would also be a big boost to the program as a whole. Whatever happens today, our goal as a program this year should be to make the FCS playoffs and win at least one game. That would be a tremendous step forward for Bubba and company. And we need a tremendous step forward, both the FB program and the athletic department as a whole. Because right now we are sinking deeper into mediocrity and underachievement. Prove 'em wrong boys!
  15. 50-0 NDSU. Because this is an SEC caliber team which happens to play in FCS. Oh wait, you mean the non-Bisonville version? OK, here it goes. NDSU 31 UND 17
  16. This is the beginning of the end of many of those buildings. The wrecking ball isn't done yet.
  17. He wears a suit for home games. I have passed him in the concourse a few times.
  18. Imagine what Freund could do if he had Santiago and Oliveira this year!
  19. You don't think there is apathy? I do. Not hyperbole at all.
  20. I didn't say that. I just don't like the whole "Everything is fine the way it is" vibe I get in Grand Forks today. Nobody seems to care all that much that we have a bargain basement, shoestring budget Division I athletic department. I see more Bison gear than UND Fighting Hawks (Sioux) gear sometimes and it is nauseating. Either we find the resources to put good or great programs on the field/court or we don't belong in Division I.
  21. Great post. The idea that your great-grandparents had any connection to the massacre of people is beyond stupid and does not deserve the time of day.
  22. Why to what? Being against dropping the Pioneer name? If it is about the other thing, you know this isn't the place to talk about it. Getting rid of Denver's name is a big, fat waste of time and resources and will not solve a single problem or help anybody with anything.
  23. I wasn't talking about just the fans, but everyone involved with UND. Alumni. Donors. The local media (too much butt-kissing and rationalizing). If more people would demand excellence, the administration would have a fire lit under their collective a$$es and you would see some changes. FB has 80 year old facilities in Memorial Stadium. We still do not have HPC Phase II. Those situations make it very difficult to put a championship-caliber product on the field. MBB and WBB also have tremendous growth potential and are basically being ignored. I agree with you that this isn't a zero sum game and that it is possible to have more than one great program. I know it's the old question of the chicken or the egg (which comes first), but I think working on both ends of that spectrum would be the best approach. Because what we are doing now isn't going to cut it.
  24. Why? Here is why. Check out this article by the Star Tribune's Patrick Reusse about South Dakota State's very successful Division I move-up. http://www.startribune.com/south-dakota-state-jackrabbits-coming-at-gophers-with-big-ten-commitment-backing-them/558338502/ This could be us as well. But it isn't because too many people don't give a rat's a$$ about any sport not played in REA. Either we take being Division I seriously or we should think about moving back down to Division II and join the NSIC. But by all means, keep rowing that boat! Maybe you'll finish in the top half of the B1G West this year.
