Those are FCS titles in an increasingly watered down division. The national sports media doesn't give much attention or respect to anything below the P4 FBS level. It's always been like that. And moving to FBS means the best you could hope for is either 1) a low ranked bowl game nobody cares about or 2) a spot in the CFP where you'd get boat raced by the likes of Oregon or Ole Miss. Unless the G6 gets its own playoff, I don't think being a G6 FBS team is worth all the time, money and effort.

A national brand? Do you really believe that people from coast to coast and border to border actively follow NDSU FB? If that was the case, they'd have a national television contract like Notre Dame. Fargo and the media conglomerate there may believe that they are "center of the known universe", but it's still a city in flyover country that doesn't add much value to those all important TV contracts. And television rules CFB right now. I'll believe this move to the MWC when I see it.

When our talent on offense gets better and we still struggle to score points, Mr. NFL/B1G will have some explaining to do.

Screw the B1G, the NCHC remains the gold standard in this sport. The greatest thing Faison ever did was help spearhead the formation of the NCHC.

People have every right to complain on here; I do it all the time. My point is that the system is not going to change because we don't like it and if UND as an institution doesn't figure out how to thrive in this environment, we will get left behind. There's no getting around that. The first 15 or so years of Division I have been very underwhelming to say the least. I would hope the next 15 years prove to be much better.

You don't want to give, that's up to you. But if you aren't interested in giving, please don't ever come here and complain about our lack of success on the field. I don't like what is happening any more than you. But it isn't going to change because we think the current system is "immoral" or "wrong". Either we adapt to the climate as it is or we get left behind. There is no third option here.

Cripes people, anyone who expected a championship contender in Year One of the Eric Schmidt Project was kidding themselves. The talent he inherited from Bubba wasn't terrible, but it wasn't elite either. I believe Schmidt has recruited elite talent in his first two recruiting classes and once they see the field, it will be easier to evaluate this regime.
