I have more faith in this coaching regime in the area of recruiting than the previous one.

The only way any of the Dakota 4 schools will move up to FBS is if they find a couple of other schools (Montana, Montana State?) and move up together. Geography dictates this path more than anything else.

I agree with you. I predicted Jerry would start (no sources, just a hunch) and it looks like that's what will happen. If Jerry can take hold of the starting job, I don't think he'll relinquish it unless he gets hurt.

I think our days of crapping the bed on the road and underachieving vs. bad teams at home are over. If we lose, it will because the team we are playing is better than us, not because we just didn't show up.

I also think Schmidt won't hesitate to pull veterans who aren't getting the job done and replace them with underclassmen. No keeping your job because you put in your time in the program. Performance and results will matter again.

This is where I am at. This team will go through some growing pains early on. But I also think they'll get better and better as the season progresses. In a couple of years, I think Schmidt will have us to the point where we are contending for MVFC titles and high playoff seeds.

So a ban on online enrollment? Yeah, that's a good idea. 🙄

I am willing to give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt, as it is a new year and a new regime in charge. But please, whomever starts, no more short hopping balls to the receiver.
