  1. I am a little tired of the "you can't blame a kid for doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants" thinking. Leaving your team in a lurch like this is bush-league. Period. He said he was coming back, then pulled a 180 on the coaching staff. It is not quite as bad as leaving before Christmas, but it is a close second. Whether or not he makes it at the next level is always a big question mark unless your last name is Toews or Parise. I don't wish bad things on him and I don't care about the kneeling stuff. I just like it when people keep their word and don't like it when they pull stuff like this.
  2. So if he had decided to bolt right before the Manitoba game, that would have been alright with you as well? Leaving your college team in a lurch right before the season is just bush-league.
  3. Then why didn't he sign back in March or April? I don't give a rat's a$$ when the NHL prospect camps are held.
  4. They'll come up with some sorry-arse excuse for it.
  5. OSU & Michigan? Not a chance. Clemson & FSU? Very possible.
  6. Better them than NDSU.
  7. Something for all of us to remember: We won't know for a couple of years whether these recruits will pan out like the coaches think they will. I do like the kind of players we are landing, but nothing is in the bag until they prove they can produce against college competition.
  8. Does the Philadelphia media like anyone? This is the same city that booed Santa Claus, remember?
  9. This reminds me of when Peter Pocklington traded Gretzky to the Los Angeles Kings. He was surprised by the uproar it caused and he didn't like the heat he was getting. So he started blaming everyone else. First he said Gretzky asked for the trade. Wayne said he did not. Then he goes after Gretzky's wife, saying she didn't want to live in Edmonton and pushed for the trade. Anyone who watched the 30 for 30 documentary King's Ransom knows that Pocklington was mulling this trade over for several years before it happened. If you want to trade the best player on the planet, that is fine. But you need to own your decision and be able to defend it. Don't go looking for scapegoats to blame when it blows up in your face. I absolutely hate it when people do that.
  10. I lost interest after Jordan's second (1998) retirement.
  11. How about Scheels?
  12. Spielman trades first round pick. No surprise there.
  13. Then he'd better be in the line-up next week.
  14. I assume you aren't talking about Notre Dame.
  15. As long as we don't pull another Richmond.
  16. Getting too conservative on offense. Have to move the chains.
  17. On the bright side, they won't be losing any games now.
  18. You mean the World's Best Insomnia Cure, don't you?
  19. The off-season is officially here. Only seven months until October.
