  1. His smaller size and lower draft stock make it more likely he'll stick around longer.
  2. Don't bother trying to reason with @jdub27. His solution is always to send emails, even if all most people get in response is some milktoast, boilerplate crap that doesn't actually answer any questions. But to be fair, it's not just him. This is the complacency that seems to have taken hold amongst too many of our supporters. And that is a form of inertia that is very hard to overcome. After 15 years of using a Division II funding model to fund a Division I athletic department, it is way past time to try something different.
  3. We had a strong student section in the Alerus Center from 2001-2005. Which is also when we were national contenders. Funny how that correlates.
  4. Excellent analogy.
  5. Amen. You are one of few people on this forum that is willing to say truthful, but unpopular things. People need to stop drinking the Kelly Green and White Kool-Aid and take a hard look at the problems facing our beloved institution.
  6. I would argue it never has been a priority. It has succeeded in spite of the higher ups at UND, not because of them. However, Division I (FCS or FBS) is a different animal. We cannot win at this level with a shoestring, "more with less" budget.
  7. He is winning me over, slowly but surely.
  8. I am all in on St. Thomas. Regardless of what moves the NCHC makes, the number of schools should never go above 10. The old WCHA got bloated and watered-down with 12 teams at the time of realignment.
  9. I think this is a case of once is enough.
  10. It's not.
  11. He got off a sinking ship before he was dragged under.
  12. That was about access to East Coast media markets. What does Colorado State have to offer?
  13. So we want a Rutgers in our conference home? And academics vs. athletics is a false choice. You don't have to sacrifice one to get the other.
  14. Colorado State is a joke across the board. They aren't competitive at anything. They would be the Morningside of this new conference if it ever happened.
  15. If the financial numbers would be beneficial to UND, then I wouldn't have a problem with it. Until then, we should stick with the NCHC.
  16. And what if the financial terms are unacceptable to UND?
  17. The Stanley Cup is undoubtedly the hardest trophy in all of professional sports to win.
  18. They honestly must pull these numbers out of there collective arses. No way houses and apartments are being built like they are on the south end if people are leaving.
  19. Maybe Casper brought all his fellow ghosts to GF?
  20. Yep. Everyone else is playing for second.
  21. Jim Brown, arguably the greatest RB of all time, has passed away.
  22. I definitely feel 100% better about this team than I did a couple of months ago. Looking forward to seeing this group grow and learn together.
  23. It's just a few months away.
