We are making an 0-7 team look like a playoff contender.
-
If we lose this game, there should be a coaching change after the final horn. Instead, he just might get a contract extension.
-
But remember people, these are student-athletes, so it doesn't matter if they win or lose.

If someone has a contagious illness (influenza), they shouldn't even be in the locker room. You don't want that spreading throughout the rest of the team. -

Exactly. Which is why you can't take shifts off. -

The two are connected. At home, we need to nail the coffin shut once we build a lead. -

I think the 5 goal lead caused us to take the foot off the gas. -
Augustana is playing teams tough.

This team better learn that there are no easy games in this sport. And no lead is safe until the final horn. -

Okay, I thought it was in 2013 or 2014. I stand corrected. -

That happened in Mankato. And it was one of our "down years". -
Well, it's Game Day Friday everyone! Need a sweep for PWR purposes and because it's always more fun to win. If we make their goaltender look like a Hobey Baker finalist, I think I will pull my hair out!

Look son, I was taking the high road, but you insisted on dragging me into the gutter. Mess with the bull, get the horns. I am done arguing about this with you or anyone else.

I thought Close was virtually unbeatable?

Agree. Let's get back on topic. We can still accomplish much this season if we run the table and that starts on Saturday.
-
Do they even have one?

Great, just great.

The biggest issues are mental. Getting over the NDSU hump was a huge accomplishment mentally. Now this program has to get over the hump on playing well on the road. And following up a big win with a solid performance the next weekend. Those problems are difficult to pin down and fix. I am not opposed to giving Feeney a look at starting QB, but I don't know if that would fix the problems I outlined above.

I agree with you on this. Leadership takes on many different forms. Some leaders are loud and charismatic. Some are quiet and lead by example. I honestly don't think Tommy is the biggest problem with this team (not even close). It's the inability to follow up a big win with a solid performance the next week. And we have to figure out how to win on the road. We'll never accomplish anything beyond making the playoffs if we don't learn how to win outside the friendly confines of the Alerus Center.
