Well, Nashville is the "Bachelorette Party capital of the world", so maybe these teams have a couple of engaged players and they are making it a Bachelorette Party/Hockey weekend!!

An arena can definitely help get a crowd going and get them on their feet. At the old Ralph, all it took was playing 'Welcome to the Jungle' and the student section was jumpin!! It is long overdue for the REA to form a task force to improve gameday atmosphere, much like the Alerus did.

My one concern is the REA will primarily use the new scoreboard for advertising as opposed to in game productions and features that will keep the crowd engaged and add to the gametime atmosphere. Bigger screen = more add space to sell = more $$$$ for the REA. And the atmosphere will continue to be what it is.

This appeal has about the same chances of success as the players had in NCAA tournament games!

UND really missed a great opportunity to have a great nickname and logo by eliminating "Abdominal Snowman" from its nicknames under consideration. The Minnesota Lakes Area "Snowman" of the Midwest Premier Football League (the league the Tri City Northstars play in) have provided a glimpse of what a logo would have looked like. Oh what could have been!!

He would have been the all time rushing leader at UND. Man, was he fun to watch!! Just unfortunate he couldn't get his academic life in order.

Gameday has been to Fargo twice. As much of a success it was, I would like to see Gameday at other FCS locations. The FCS is more than just NDSU and ESPN should showcase that by visiting other places than just Fargo for its FCS location they feature every year.

What's the alternative. Either we play the D1 schools in our region or we join a conference where we travel across 2 timezones to play schools 5 states away. We tried the 5 states away conference. that didn't work. So this is what we got.

Would you prefer Crookston, Moorhead St., or the U of Mary?!!! Or would you prefer being in a league with teams in California and/or New Jersey?!! The D1 teams in our area are what they are. Just have to deal with it.

Well, Some will get to see it in person next fall!! Maybe. Schloss??!!

I would say since there is quite a few guys that came in lighter, there was obviously reasoning behind that. It wasn't just a coincidence.

Single game tickets for NDSU football went on sale this morning at 7am including of course the game against UND.......

I am guessing starting tomorrow it will start ramping up. Marketing football in June and July at any level doesn't really happen until about now.

So you are telling me the Islanders fuinally realized that having seats with THIS view is unacceptable and justified moving to a new arena?!!!

Whatever. I was one year off. That wasn't the point of my post. My point was that they have used a logo and name on their jersey for many years prior. And for an even longer time before that just a logo. We can all agree that the "North Dakota" jerseys in the 90's were probably one of the worse jerseys this program has worn. The current ones are fine, but arguably just a step above the ones from the mid 90's used between the blackhawk and geometric logos. My opinion is a hockey jersey looks better with a logo than just script.
