Not for a second. I think its ironic that in a time where you would think people would be down about UND athletics considering UND had to drop the Fighting Sioux name, a name we have all cheered for and loved for many years, the excitement for UND atheletics has never been greater.

I think that Bradley leaving says a lot about how good Molberg is. Bradley would be a senior next year and you would think be a lick to start over a freshman, but apparently he saw the wuality of QB's over the next two years and realized that he probably would get no higher than the #2 spot.

Having a Senior as the backup who has been in the program is deffinitely a plus. Hopefully both those guys can stay healthy so we don't have to pull off any redshirts (especially Molbergs).

I am a fan of the University of North Dakota and will support the new name and logo and wear the new merchandise. I would guess that there are many others like me that feel the same way.

JL Beers burgers are the best. Great variety of burgers. Not to many burgers are better than the Humpty Dumpty burger with bacon!! Plus you can have a delicious microbrew to wash it down!! Hands down the best burger place in Grand Forks!!

If the proposed measure "would change the North Dakota Constitution to require that the University of North Dakota's sports teams be known as the Fighting Sioux" how can Johnson say that it doesn't require the sports teams at UND to wear the logo or use the name? So UND's spots teams will be known as the Fighting Sioux but won't wear and logo or use the name? So basically the official unofficial name and logo? What is the point of that? To ensure that UND does not completely forget about the name and logo and wipe it from its history? No chance that UND will do that. this measure is a waste of time. If it was on the ballot this Novemember, it micht get beaten 90/10. Which is exactly why they are debating putting it on the ballot.

How many times has NDSU actually played a football game in January? This year....and then when else?

Question for you on something that has bugged me in your posts. Why do you use the word "teh" when you say "teh UND" and "teh Herd"? Is there an inside joke or something I am missing out on??

I can understand Bison fans being a fan of UND hockey. there are a lot of those. But a person that cheers for both UND and NDSU in football?? WOW...didn't think such a person existed!!

How about the place that moved into that building when it moved....Dagwoods!! Before the smoking ban at GF bars went into effect, this was the only bar in Grand Forks that was smoke free!! Deffinitely a plus for people that didn't want to reak of smoke after being out at a bar. Loved the sandwiches and the Mug Club deals were pretty good. Got a couple mugs from there in my cupboard right now!!

Let's try to fill the Alerus Center seats before we talk about overflow into the ballroom or anywhere else. If you want to come tailgaiting and watch the game.....go to the actual game!! Tickets aren't that expensive. Last I checked you could get season tickets for as low as $60.

Ummmm.....was this a serious question? Ballroom attendance counting for total attendace? Could we count the people watching in Taven United and in their hotel rooms in the Canad Inn as well?? Obviously it is stadium attendance. Come on man!!

What always bugged me about Sweeney was that he got so excited when something good happend for UND, he got this high pitched whiney voice that you could barely make out what he was saying. I am all for showing enthusiasm, but it is was just annoying to watch a hockey game when every time the puck got near the net he freaked out and sounded all high and whiney. Not knocking the guy personally, just not a fan of his broadcast syle.

I am sure they have the money to get the hockey program started. I think that the Penn State athletic program will be fine. Many people are saying that this is going to significantly damage their athletic department and it will take a decade to recover. Penn State has plenty of money. they can afford to pay 60 million dollars over the next 4 years. Happy Valley will still be packed for every home game in the next 4 years. Penn State will still win games as well. So while they are dishing out money every year as part of their penalty and losing money from not being in any Bowl games, Penn State will still be very financially well off iver the next few years.
