Definitely appreciate you and your firm seeking out the message board of UND fans to hear what the fanbase is saying. Says a lot about how your firm wants to develop a logo and a brand that not just the administration will like, but the fans will like as well. I think the constant theme that you probably picked up on is we as fans want a logo and brand that we can all take pride in. The name isn't the most unique by any means. But this gives you (or the other developers) a great opportunity and challenge to turn a generic name and make it into something truly unique that the fans can rally around. Not an easy task, but that's why you guys get paid the big bucks right!! HA!!

With all the potential change happening with the P5 the next few years, I think UND will be staying put in the Big Sky. They are in much better shape for becoming a "second tier" conference than the MVFC is.

I don't think the NCAA is going to come back at tell UND that their bird logo can't have feathers. Now, if UND comes up with a logo with a bird with a headress similar to the old Sioux logo, then they may have ground to stand on.

Seeding the top 16 teams is the right thing to do. I agree with the statement that says the 9 seed is treated the same as the 24 seed. If you are a top 16 seed in the country, you deserve to host a playoff game no matter how small your stadium or school is. Seeding the top 16 teams will also help solve the problem with regionalization. Now sure, they can always drop down a team a spot to ensure they play close to home, but it it would not be as easy.

Ok, well I saw that article. SiouxVolley is implying that these changes are for sure going into affect.

Ah yess. That's right. I am mistaken. NCHC will keep the 5x5. I do like the 3x3 format because it lowers the numbers of shootouts that occur. This was the reasoning for the NHL to change to it. Whether that was the reason for the NCHC, who knows. Definitely like it.

My theory is the NCHC is experimenting with the 3x3 because they want to go to it full time in the future (eliminating the 5x5 overtime). The NCHC makes a pretty good effort to duplicate the rules and the play of the NHL so it is more attractive to NHL recruits to attend NCHC schools. By bet is the 3x3 OT will be the standard moving forward next year or the year after in the NCHC.

How many bird logos for college (or any teams for that matter) have this type of logo with the bird looking straight on. A quick google search will tell you that the majority of logos of the head facing to the left or right, or the full body of the bird (KU Jayhawks). THIS is what is needed to differentiate from all the other bird logos out there. I like it!

The grey helmets with the green interlocking ND and the stripe down the middle are sharp. I would love to see UND go back to exactly that style!!

Next time get the Scotch eggs or the pulled pork with the coleslaw on top. Very good.

Shafer will decide on the logo, and the New President will take office after that. That would be the best course of action IMO. This way the new President can focus on other issues and not have to oversee the most controversial issue in UND history on is first day in office.

Nickname debate is over, Kelley is gone. Not much left to complain about until the logo is released!!

The WIAA did not hand down the punishment. It was the school. Let me say that again. It was the school that suspended her for using profanity in a tweet that involved the high school athletic governing body This girl has every right to be upset about the new rules they are imposing. I agree 100% that these rules are ridiculous. But I think we can agree that she could have been a little bit more mature and gone about voicing her opinions against it in a better way. That is why she was suspended. Not because she voiced her opinion against the rulings, but how she did it. In regards to her intelligence, by "isn't that smart" I meant she made a very poor choice in judgement. And now she will learn from it. Everything you do and say has consequences. Sometimes bigger than others.
