  1. Is there any doubt the horseshoe is gone week 1 of the playoffs?
  2. GIRLS WF with a nice win over Davies. Mandan, Fargo North, Davies and WF appear to be the top 4 going with the rest of the state up for grabs. Seeds 5-8 will be a toss up and will be a huge battle for the last spot to make the state tournament. 2 Fargo Davies at West Fargo United 4 5 Mandan at Bismarck Century 0 7 Fargo North/South at Grand Forks 0 3 Devils Lake at Jamestown 5 BOYS Legacy 4th OT loss of the season. Minot appears to be in control in the WDA, although it seems to be a shitshow depending on which night you play a team. 5 Fargo Davies at West Fargo 1 1 Bottineau/Rugby at Williston 2 2 Bismarck High at Minot High 4 1 Wahpeton/Breck at Mayville-Portland-C-G 5 6 Fargo South/Shanley at Devils Lake 3 5 Mandan at Dickinson 6 6 Bismarck Century at Bismarck Legacy 5
  3. Slow week with the storm, although RR did hammer Central and South got Sheyenne 5-0. Gotta be the 2 best teams going as of now.
  4. Holy balls. No penalty on the center ice hit? The kid had one idea in his mind from the get go. Brutal.
  5. Those are absolutely disgusting but don't shock me whatsoever after watching them in the Jamboree in Mandan before the season started.
  6. Yes he's a SR in HS. He's not committed but I know there's plenty of schools recruiting him, including NCHC (not sure on UND). Ironically enough, in relation to the conversation about players leaving ND, he played in Bismarck through his PW year as did his cousin Kai who is the goaltender in Moorhead (JR).
  7. Yeah more and more kids are leaving and going to leave. As for Bentz, if you're getting great minutes with the Force it's hard to turn that down.
  8. Was a good HS game. OT hockey, good back and forth. Some Tuesday night games to keep an eye on: out west, Minot and CHS. East side: GFC and Sheyenne, RR and North. Girls side…the restructured North and Davies teams go tonight.
  9. Mandan girls with an eye popping win over a pre-season state favorite in WF. GF girls and Minot go 0-0 and to a shootout. LHS boys with 3rd OT loss in 5 games. Busy week coming up for HS hockey in ND. 10. Mandan had a good 5-6 minute stretch in the 1st to go up 3-0 taking advantage of some defensive lapses and they have 2 really good goalies. Legacy wore them down, SOG were 19-3 in the 3rd. Bad turnover in OT cost 'em, but Mandan is going to be tough in the WDA. Sheyenne must be for real. Nice win over the Spartans. Friday night on the girls side, surprised CHS took Davies to OT. Also Williston over GF 2-1. SOG favored GF 27-12, Willy must have a tendy. WF and Mandan on Saturday should be a great game and I think 2 of the best teams in the state. A lot of "new" on the girls side this season, will take some time to see which teams rise up.
  11. Thursday night of note: South shuts out central. Mandan over Legacy in OT. Jamestown and Mandan pick up wins over the new Bismarck girls teams. 12. Hard to compare as one is a D and the other a C. Both big and getting stronger. Great hockey sense, compete and work ethic.
  13. Looks a little old school for South and North to be legit and this season they sure appear to be so.
  14. Tuesday was a busy one with some beauty matchups out east. 2 Girls games and 5 boys games coming up Thursday night. Tues. 29th: 4 Hazen/Beulah at Bismarck Century JV 5 1 West Fargo at Grand Forks Central 7 2 Dickinson at Williston 3 OT 3 Grafton/Park River at Devils Lake 5 1 Fargo Davies at Fargo North 4 4 Grand Forks Red River at Fargo South/Shanley 5 7 Bismarck Legacy at Jamestown 1 Girls Tues. 29th: 6 Grand Forks at Devils Lake 2 1 Dickinson at Mandan 8 2 Bismarck Century at Minot High 3
  15. A couple girls teams got started this weekend with road trips to MN. WF lost to Crookston 2-0 and beat TRF 8-3. LHS/BHS first career game, 5-2 L to Fergus Falls. A couple good early season tests for those 2 teams. Sat. 26th: 9 Fargo North at Bismarck High 0 2 West Fargo at Bismarck Legacy 5 0 West Fargo Sheyenne at Roseau 7 2 Notre Dame Academy at Williston 3 1 Fargo Davies at Fargo South/Shanley 4 4 Dickinson at Mayville-Portland-C-G 0
  16. Guessing the potential is there. He's only a SOPH so has time to develop yet. I'd say he isn't dominant at this point but he has a special ability to bury it. Vig (D - JR) at CHS seems to be the best player in the WDA this year. Put up a hatty againt WF in the 3rd period on Friday.
  17. I think the Demons had 6 SOG. South is picked where they are and Demons picked where they are for a reason. Looks like Davies and GFC had a tight one. Tues. 22nd: 7 Fargo North at Grafton/Park River 1 7 Fargo South/Shanley at Bismarck High 0 10 Mandan at Hazen/Beulah 0 5 Grand Forks Red River at West Fargo Sheyenne 3 4 Devils Lake at Bottineau/Rugby 2 3 Grand Forks Central at Fargo Davies 2 A couple nice games Friday night on the docket with North at Legacy & WF at Century. Good to see some early season cross over.
  18. Jamestown over Hazen 8-4 last weekend. Minot over Devils Lake 6-2 last night. Busy night: Devils Lake at Bottineau FN at GPR FS at Bismarck High GFC at Davies GFRR at WF Sheyenne
  19. Congrats on the playoff appearance and good luck against Weber!

Literally ridiculous when you think about it. UND and NDSU would have FBS loss, a loss to Jackrabbits, and UND would have head to head. What I'm wondering if UND wins is if there's gonna be a rematch asap.

He's on Izzo's podcast every week (tuesday I think) and they've been nothing but supportive of UND for a large majority of this season. Not a big deal...I don't even like the guy honestly...just sayin.
  22. Perfect take. It is a cesspool, and IMO a represents a small fraction of NDSU fans. So don't mind me coming around here...just wanna chat football and other sports and guarantee most us would be able to throw down some beers and a good time together.

On Izzo's show yesterday he, Kolpack & Herder brought up your point about NDSU being the 5 if Samford and NDSU both win this weekend, that there's a valid argument for that. Can't assume wins this weekend, though. Win or lose this weekend, I can't see UND being out either.
  24. A small, loudmouth portion. I'd put y'all just right behind SDSU and above UNI (which was a fantastic heated rivalry for awhile).
