  1. Early season, I thought perhaps the East was down and maybe Minot and then even 2/3 would have a punchers chance on Thursday at state. Looks like it'll just be the annual tradition once again.
  2. I mean there's a reason Hermantown is also on a historic run. Transfer away, as long as the rules aren't bent. It is the way in MN....if you ain't transerrin' you ain't tryin'.
  3. Interesting. I know they get a lot of Fargo on the girls team, I honestly thought the boys was mostly homegrown. But yeah...as gfhockey stated, there's a lot o moving and shaking that goes on in MN regarding hockey. Boys and Girls.
  4. Yeah I've heard that. There's very few that don't play youth hockey in Moorhead and that show up on their HS team. Suter situation isn't normal there.
  5. They're youth program is insane. I don't think they get a ton of transfers. If people move their it's generally in the youth. Moorhead over EGF 6-3
  6. Busy night on the boys side, but RR at WF by far the best matchup. Will be interesting to follow. CHS - L/B girls.
  7. No. At Mandan Tuesday probably toughest game left on paper. Biggest thing v Minot - stay outta the box. They're deadly, in fact according to Gillen's site, operating at 40% on the PP.
  8. CHS-Mandan was a dog fight Thursday. CHS was down one top F that game, then down 2 more against Willy Friday after a hard fought game Thursday. Legacy-Mandan another tough battle. Could've easily gone too Mandan. Legacy relying on depth with 2 guys out. After Minot, the West is wide open. And don't look now, BOTT is in the mix.
  9. It's probably not the Minot - BHS 8-7 championship in 1991 caliber of goaltending/defense though lol.
  10. I don't know but he is worth the price of admission to a HS hockey game in ND, that's for damn sure.
  11. WDA looks like Minot and CHS are going to be 1-2. Jamestown, Mandan and Legacy in a dogfight for 3-4-5, and BOTT isn't too far behind too be honest. Seeding is important for multiple reasons: if you do win the 4/5 matchup you have to deal with Minot in the semis...if you lose the 4/5, then win Friday, the Saturday state qualifier (barring upsets) will be against the loser of the 2/3 semifinal match. Tough game to clinch. Legacy and Jamestown split on the season. Mandan and Legacy play Saturday in a huge game, and Jamestown and Mandan have another one left before WDA, the first one went to OT. All 3 teams have dumped points to during the season to teams they probably shouldn't have...going to come down to the wire.
  12. That kid is electric. Going to be interesting to follow his path into juniors where the sledding is a bit tougher.
  13. Kilgore has the GF girls on a roll.
  14. Was at both of those CHS girls games. They're top line is electric when they get going. Minot completely fell apart in the last 10 minutes.
  15. Minot takes out Legacy 4-1 to remain undefeated in the West. At Mandan probably toughest game left - and that's a tough task for Mandan.
  16. KNOX and that meathead Cunningham usually have a good feed.
  17. Minot continues their terror through the WDA with an 8-2 win over Jamestown. Red River over North 5-1. Is RR figuring some things out or is North on the struggle bus?
  18. As the old boxing/mma saying goes...don't leave the final result up to the judges.
  19. Don't mind a good T myself. Probably should let the coach know you did it though lol.
  20. WF 8-1 over North. Mattern with a hat trick. 8 in a row for the Packers. Minot JR Gold over Hazen 2-1..... Girls: GF has won 8 in a row. Minot has won 8 in a row. CHS has won 4 in a row.
  21. Those of us from out of town would say officiating FOR minot for years.
  22. The kid is a nail gun though. Perhaps he’ll be back.
  23. Mandan lost a key player this weekend to a dislocated shoulder. Senior captain.
  24. I'm gonna go with Minot running the table in the West. Because of the post season draught, maybe the sticks grip a little tight come WDA and their home ice. I just don't feel like anyone in the West can hold them to the 2 or less goals that'll be necessary to beat them. I'll still go with Minot and GFC in the 'ship. But the old adage remains....regular season for show, playoffs for dough. Like Dickinson last year by winning WDA, just need to be at your best come the end of February.
