  1. Seems pretty normal for the worst season in like 50 years..haha.
  2. Yeah those were the good old days before streaming services took over. I was the same, flipping channels between numerous college hockey games. College hockey sucks for viewing with all the streaming: ESPN+, Midco/Midco+, Flo, B1G, etc. Makes it hard to flip.
  3. Woof. Least interested I've been in a Gopher team in years and years. Rarely bothered to look up game times or watch, hardly gave a sh*t to check the scores. I knew they sucked on night 2 when Michigan Tech took a dump on them. If he's not gone, the next month is critical. Took on a nice addition with Humphrys this week, and the Cullen boys coming in, although maybe Wyatt will be a little green for college hockey next year we've seen that before. The days of Faber, Lacombe and Rinzel and the back end appear to be gone, he's got major work to do there. I'm fine giving Bob one more year but maybe that makes me a moron. If he retires, I'm fine with that as well. I'm all in on Raboin for the next coach, no former players have anywhere near his resume. Good luck to UND the rest of the year. That's a hell of a team. Although if it's UND against a B1G team in the title game I might be pulling for a meteor shower - lol.
  4. Boat race in Happy Valley. 4-0 part way thru 2nd. Time for Netflix....going down with zero fight is perhaps the dagger.
  5. Must be a lot going on elsewhere at Penn State as well. Plenty of blue seats. Maybe it's the opponent.
  6. 2-0 Penn State cue the Fire Robert Bandwagon.
  7. 1-0 Penn State 3 minutes in and Gruba can go ahead and hit the portal.
  8. That's doubtful with college hoops in full conference tourney time. Sort of looks like ESPN+ or B1G+.
  9. Yeah....kinda torn on him too be honest. 5 straight NCAAs with back to back FF and a Title game OT L aren't exactly terrible in today's college hockey landscape with all of the parity and 8 seasons is a good run - but not like the good old days of coaching either. This team has had some real extreme lows and some real extreme high wins this year. Consistency was atroucious. Maybe Raboin wouldn't wanna leave a great spot but I'm not sure the rest of college hockey wants him to take over at the U either. Time will tell, probably earlier rather than later, this season is about to end.
  10. Wyatt Cullen basically confirmed he's coming to Dinkytown next year along with Brooks. Despite how this season gone, would be a nutsack move to broom bob with that bloodline coming before Joey commits. Can call Gruba "page 2" for how far you have to scroll to find him in the stats on a bad team.
  11. LakesBison doesn't speak for the entire fanbase. Those Spuds players are legit. And whether people want to believe it or not, PJ Fleck is legit - for Minnesota. Talk to anyone who has been recruited by him and those 3 kids all said similar. It'll happen from time to time as every kid has different path, plans and ambitions, but if you're turning down a B1G school for a Mountain West of MVFC that's a stretch. Even the Gophers get some damn fun atmospheres and some kids want that and all the other "big school" perks.
  12. Reason enough to keep him around and see how he rebounds this off-season, at least that's my stance. He has acknowledged his mis-handled the last off-season. The cupboard is very full.....now how he responds from some obvious gaffes after last year. As a fan, I'm good with another year with the pipeline he has as long as he can keep some players around this year and fill in the voids with the portal.
  13. Lost out to SF Power in 3 games. Won the first, lost the next 2.
  14. The problem isn't the coaching it's the genetics. Not to mention, Bismarck is about 3 generations behind in hockey families.
  15. 1st AA goal by Minnetonka and the celly stays on one end...the old down on one knee arm pump Gretzky style, pull starting a lawnmower. Guess it helps when you've tucked 17 times as a SOPH.
  16. My bad...it's early. Yeah that kids got it. Little sister has a nack for the net as well, but also small.
  17. I was thinking the same thing watching some of those yesterday. I did get a kick out of the 2 guys (can't remember which team) who put on sunglasses on the bench and pretended they were security when the camera panned over to the coach...but alas, they lost as well.
  18. I have no idea how many kids leave early from East...if kids would stay home in Bismarck and Minot things would be much better out here. That being said, I've come to find when it comes to sports, everyone at some point has to make a selfish decision. Whether it works or not is up to them.
  19. Yeah...no. Brayden Strom, FR season, 18 and 20 for 38. I'd have liked to see him return for his SOPH season, but other than that, go ahead man...go onto Northstar. Strom, by the way, was recently added to Penticton's affiliate list. I don't know if that holds any water for the future or not. Max Vig, 16 and 31 as a D his JR season, basically controlling games. Yessir, go on, get outta here. For Bantams, dominate your 8th grade year, able to play on top 2 lines and special teams for your HS, go ahead an move up as a FR. Something like that. Works for some, doesn't work for others.
  20. IDK but this starting session 2 at 6 pm is ridiculous. Warroad game should've been halfway done by now.
  21. Already tired of the 200 foot cellies....there's my get off my lawn pet peeve.
  22. The ol' saying goes...dominate the level you're at before you leave town.
  23. Not sure I've ever seen buckets the color Delano is wearing.
  24. From a viewership standpoint, sir. But yeah ND can hang their hat on that one.
  25. Hibbing takes game one over Dodge County in fairly dominant fashion. Gosh darnit watching this tournament, even the 1st day of Class A, is on a different level.
