I don't think there's any chance Billy pulls off this deal and let's Hughes walk in a year and a half. He's shown to be an aggressive GM. Gave up a haul, I agree, Buium will be a stud....Rossi, meh. IMO it's a great move by the Wild to get a high, high end defenseman.

As I Bison fan I have no problem with ISU winning. Not due to conference affiliation, moreso out of respect for Spack....which maybe that's due to conference affiliation otherwise I wouldn't know !@#$ about him. Villanova coach seems like the real deal as well, enjoyed his emotions after the win yesterday. I as well was pulling for Tarleton, but after seeing the video with UND in the stands last week, was rooting for Villanova. Not sure either of them will beat the MSU, MON winner however.

NDSU loses guys every year. This year will be much the same. Izzo stated on his podcast on Monday it has been reported (rumored, however he finds out) that 2 of the players already at 6 figure NIL waiting for them. Pretty cool to see talented players from the Dakota and MVFC stick around no matter which team. Boumann at USD for example. YSU QB certainly could've left for a payday. Lance could've had a large bank account. etc....

Not that it would solve all issues regarding NCAA football, but wouldn't it be nice if coaching hires and the transfer portal was froze until after the final buzzer....

That's a 10 win team currently. Hardly a choke as I explained above, for anyone who consistently watched the offense. But in the playoffs, a loss is a loss....

Have had season tickets since basically mid 2000s. I had a HS hockey game to attend....however still wouldn't have driven 200 miles each way to go to this one. Playoff games I'd have gone to this year if the kids hockey schedule allowed it at the Dome on that side of the bracket are only UND and Tarleton.

Potentially a distraction I have no idea. But Polacek is far from arrogant...if you want arrogance see Jimmy Rodgers. I dare say, Polacek and Schmidt are cut from a similar cloth.

Meh..not shocked by the result. 1st of all, ISU gave them hell the first game this year. 2nd, interconference matchups are always tough. And...finally...NDSU offense showed glimpses of ass this year numerous games. Eventually woke up for a quarter or a half to pull through, it was only a matter of time before the inconsistency bit them in the ass.

Yeah 4 years ago CHS missed state. But that team would destroy this years version. I'd say it's going to come down to Mandan and Minot in the West and the East will have the easiest 4 game sweep in years come state.

Didn't have Mandan beating Shanley on the bingo card. Or Grafton over North.

Roseau has been down for a bit and from what I've heard it's not looking good for the future - by their standards anyway. They also don't recruit like their neighbors to the east or their rivals in 8AA, so it may be a tough road.

Blows my mind they haven't used him on the PP this year but I guess he's gotta earn his stripes. Was a fun game to be at last night.

I 100% agree with this. I could care less if NDSU goes up or not honestly. But if they do and do it without a regional rival, it's a mistake.

My bad...was meaning in relation to media market rankings. It's something like 100 for Boise State and 115 for Fargo as far as that goes. Nothing amazing for each but yes, I get your point, I will sit out for 2 minutes.

There really isn't a huge different between Fargo or Boise, ID for eyeballs. Being a G5 football school in the middle of the best FCS conference and 3 hours from a a B1G school would also have it's advantages. Whatever. All conjecture at this point. I've always stated if NDSU moved up I'd love to have a Regional rival. That doesn't exist without UND or SDSU.

Pretty sure they have a set of whites an a road blue but I could be wrong.

All 12 girls teams are supposed to go tonight, weather depending. 1st 2 games are of high interest...and if the last 2 years means anything towards this year we've learned that in the rest of the games, cannot take any team lightly. CHS at Mandan North/South at WF United DL at Grand Forks Jamestown at Davies Minot at Williston L/B at Dickinson

College hockey 2025 man. Take no one for granted. It's kind of awesome that way.

And the MVFC teams that made the playoffs could give them all they could handle. But ECK has himself a nice bank roll compared to Polacek, Vigen and Schmidt.....I mean it can definitely happen anywhere (INDIANA) for anyone, but good luck at Oregon State or Colorado State. Second fiddle in your own back yard doesn't help.

That's basically what I was referring too....someone is going to Oregon State or Colorado State to get hired just to get their asses fired. But they'll get fired with a bunch of zeros in their bank account. Football wise....good luck, and I'll say the same for Schmidt and UND when his name gets called in a few years.
