Gotta love WF and Sheyenne as last game of the season. RR and Central, North v South would be awesome final games as well. I believe the West is about set, if I'm not mistaken. CHS, Legacy, Minot, Mandan, Dickinson, Jamestown, Willy, Bottineau, Hazen, BHS. Willy v BHS playin. Bottineau v Hazen playin. The question for each side will be, where are the upsets gonna fall.... -

Tight checking game. Took Legacy a half a game to get moving then I thought they played better. 18 for WF Sheyenne is a great player. Sheyenne played a very good defensive game limiting LHS top guns, especially on the PK. Could've done without the potential season ending injury to the senior captain (D man), but fully understand that can happen in hockey. Seems like there are always upsets come regionals. I also agree to those above, the West has an opportunity to make it to a Friday night game. I think the "stigma" might be a huge hurdle. Legacy and Century were close last year (double OT and a one goal loss). Hard to believe there's only 3 weeks left of the season. -

CHS proved last night they are the best team in the West. Ole has done a great job with this group. Speed up front is tough to deal with, and they have converted some forwards to defense out of necessity. One loss in the WDA this season. Legacy will head east to South on Friday (just scheduled, both teams lost a game due to weather this year) and Sheyenne Saturday. Good road test 2 weeks out of the WDA tournament. -

Yeah Olson can get her the puck. I can't remember if she is going to a MIAC school or one in Wisconsin. When she gets the puck Ashlynn finds space and it's over...I wonder how many of her goals actually start from Olson gaining possession in the D zone and finding her in space. -

Yeah everyone's a bit different. Some want the label. Others like your family take in more important factors like playing time, accessibility to home, school, etc. -

She is committed to Hamline, which is a darn good MIAC program. I am surprised the Bemidji State's of the world didn't come knocking...which is why I brough up the earlier point about girls staying or leaving. I wonder if she's got some of that "ND Hockey Player" hovering over her. Or maybe MIAC is what she wanted? Who knows....women's hockey is a completely different recruiting animal without an opportunity to play juniors, or make the show amongst many other things. -

35 Goals in 16 games so far for Abrahamson for the DL girls team. Would be fantastic for them to make state to put her on display. Was having a conversation this weekend (started with hockey day in MN talk) about Girls hockey in ND. Does anyone have an idea of how many girls have played in North Dakota all the way through their senior season and made a D1 roster? Curl x 2. I believe a Sandoval from WF played all the way through and played out East somewhere. After that, it was a struggle to come up with names. Bartz would've made it regardless, but she took off for a season anyway, probably Kirkeby from Jamestown as well. Curious of any others that have stayed in state and made a D1 roster? -

Sounds like it goes to GFC this year. -

Ya I don't want them going nowhere they are awesome. Nothing wrong with a little self reflection once in awhile. Make it tough when it's an intense game on the guy on the color is also a parent. -

I think it was a board and then the kid must've said something and he got a 10 too boot (actually the misconduct could've been tacked on with the boarding if the refs deemed it bad enough). PSP guys kinda went overboard on their criticism of the officials the last 5 minutes of the game and postgame, not a good look IMO. HS hockey, not the Stanley Cup, call the game and the action and promote the kids and the awesome coverage/promotion you are giving them.... If the stats on ND HS are accurate, Minot is AVG 13 PIMS a game. -

I saw it happened again last night. Another 1-0 loss, this time to Davies and 42 saves for Sorlie. Abrahamson is Abrahamson, but I Sorlie is giving her a run for SR Athlete of the year with the saves numbers she's putting up. -

Yes that's Morelli. He's had complaints from Minot fans for being hard on their own team before lol! He calls it like it is, whether it's Minot or their opposition....good or bad. Minot had Legacy on the ropes last night, Miller won that game for them. Legacy hung around and got a timely goal to tie it up and then it got a bit controversial at the finish, which unfortunately, took a bit away from the game itself. These 2 teams got into it during the jamboree this year and with the way the 2 matchups have played out, if they go round 3 in WDA it will be must watch. -

Red River and GFC playing tonight is the highlight game of this week. You can view this game by going to www.knoxradio.com and click on the Sports Link then click on the KNOX Live Sports Link. Ryan Cunningham and Ryan Kuntz will have the Play-by-Play with the Pre-Game at 7:00 pm and face-off at 7:30 pm Legacy at Minot on PSP Network. Also Davies and North. Plus WF and N/S on the girls side. Some juicy battles this evening. -

She has a great release. Pulls the trigger quickly, accurately and with deception. Going to be fun to follow her into the MIAC. Yes I agree. West Fargo, Jamestown, GF and Minot are in the best goalie situation in the state. Unfortunately for Minot, they are struggling to get into the top 8. Apparently Mandan has pitched 4 straight shutouts as well. -

Jamestown Sorlie with another 50 save night as the Blue Jays lose in a shootout to North/South 1-0. She has to be in the running for SR Athlete of the year with Abrahamson at this point. Devils Lake also took down #1 West Fargo 2-1. Wild season continues. Some matchups to look forward too this weekend if the cold and wind don't cancel: GFC at WF, North at RR (Friday) GFC at Legacy, Minot at North (Saturday). Some potential cross over games on Thursday night at state here. -

Maybe not a lot of interest in girls hockey here but it's just a sh*show right now. GF swept N/S on the season. On Saturday, GF was in Bismarck and put up 13 SOG total on Legacy/Bis (won 3-2). Travel to Fargo last night and beat N/S 5-1 to complete the season sweep. Jamestown (currently sitting 8) has now taken WF (currently sitting 1) to OT in both games this year....all the while losing to Devils Lake 7-1 a few weeks ago. The final 5 weeks is going to be an absolute mess for spots 6-7-8 to get into the state tournament. -

Those DL boys had a some good seasons when they were at the Bantam A level. Small town guy (me) thinks there's something to be said about playing together year after year as well when there's a group that has talent. -
Haven't heard or seen anyone say he's not that good - maybe you the fans you know were drunk lol. See plenty of POd comments and jokes about Brookings. Honestly surprised he isn't getting FBS offers. Pretty normal for fans to get pissed off and emotional over a recruit though, especially when a top one leaves for your biggest rival. Losing him as a recruit does indeed suck, but Polasek has a label as being an excellent recruiter - so with the transfer portal there's plenty of opportunity to someone who is experienced and talented as well.
