I will add: if Legacy hadn't started when it did, Century very well would've competed for a State Championship or 2. Most of those Legacy kids (year 2 WDA champions lost to Davies in OT first game of state), would've been at CHS along with the Vig boys and some very good CHS players....2 good teams would've made for one really, really good team. -

I moved to Bismarck in 2004. If you had told me to FF 20 years I'd have told you the West would "catch up"...I'm specifically talking about Bismarck I guess. Throw the rest in there. Bismarck has good numbers, but the point remains: you want the best hockey teams you have to consistently have the best athletes playing the game. That's not happening. Hockey is still low on the totem pole as far as that goes. One good thing I'm seeing more consistently is 2nd and 3rd generation hockey families. The more that happens, the better, IMO. Still, however....gotta find the best ATHLETES first. And the problem with hockey is you have to capture them early. -

Was at Mandan CHS. Mandan did not look good, something is not clicking right now for them. CHS was far more physical and controlled big chunks of the game. -

Guessing Fargo sends their tier 2 refs there like Minot does for Bottineau. -
Yeah he was. Without a doubt.

Looked like the snap was greasy or the holder miss-handled both those kicks, but before the Field Goal you could see it in the kicker's eyes that a shank was coming. The way Rittenhouse was playing, probably should've gone for it on 4th and 1 but hindsight is 20/20...that kid has some dog in him too. Highly entertaining game and looked like a great atmosphere. Some of our Bison friends went and had a blast. Time to rack em up and get ready for 2026.

I was a plenty dumb mid 90s graduate lol. we just hit the backwoods...a cabin, shop, etc. Besides the boozing, which I don't support obviously, the biggest problem these kids face is they can't put their damn phones down and they essentially announce there's a party going on. -

@Brim006 I don't see a pretty good WF team. Their record is terrible. Minot being good is more a result of the West be down IMO. And let's be honest, they should always be "good." Last year, they were really good. I don't foresee them beating the 3 or 4 seed in the State QTRS. As per @Wilbur post, I agree. The reason they combined jerseys is to represent both schools. They are in love with their Junior Gold program in Minot and use it as a "threat" against forming another team, it's a strange phenomenon up their with JG. -

She is good. I know when L/B played them before Christmas it took 2 of the greasiest goals possible to beat her on 50 shots. -
2 Unbelievable hockey games last night. Unfortunate for Canada to lose their composure, but understand how much it means to those kids as well. Gotta remember their passionate young men and this is their dream since they laced them up...live and learn.

They were lethargic with him on the roster. He had the 3 most TOI for forwards yesterday after Hagens and Ziemer. Just a bad tournament.
-
Cmon now he's got the iron ranger coming in.
-
Yeah I get it. As far as Izzo goes, the Monday after the playoff loss he said Anene and Beau Johnson for sure already had large offers waiting for them. Now that NIL collectives have grown the last couple years, it's just what it's gonna be for good MVFC players on every roster. Gotta hand it to the guys that stick around now a day for sure - Kaminski, Rucker, etc.
-
Not really. Always made mention to be cautious about what happens when they head home for the Holidays before the portal opens.

Not a great look for Mayo or Marshall, good grief. -
No matter who makes the final decisions, the important thing is that they got it right with Will.

Highly skilled player as we all know, elite skating as he showed the burst on the breakaway when he split the D. Had a rancid turnover early in the game for sure and a bit on the small side but skating and hockey IQ can eliminate that 6 on 5, would've liked to see him possess that one a bit longer. But yeah you're correct, he's a bit light, all in good natured fun...
-
6 on 2 then? Seems odd.
-
You called it...or maybe your feed is that far ahead of mine haha.

USA defenders gotta put some bodies on the ice in that scrum. Dumb penalty by Reid blows USA momentum.
-
Great zone entry by Mooney. Puck comes back to him. Slides it over to Ryker Lee for an absolute snipe for the PPG.
-
Yeah we are so mean to Canadians in the US, lol.

Admittedly a Gopher fan living in Central ND. Never understood the obsession with Hockey attendance...if only that was the deciding factor in what defines the state of hockey, which is in itself a marketing phrase established when the Wild returned. But if you're gonna say ND or any other state in the country wouldn't trade the hockey experience with Minnesota from Youth, to HS to JR to D3 to D1 to professional men's and women's leagues all the way into beer league, coaching and paying it back to the game....well I got news for ya.
