So at the start of the second period on both nights, Brandt would skate through the opposing goaltender's crease and scrape his skate across. I think Manneno (sp?) noticed and tried to complain to the refs about it.

I had a super time in Columbus. Thanks mom! I didn't get to enjoy the bar scene as much as I'd have liked because my brother wasn't 21. Oh well. Eddie was cool. The Crowne bar was cool. The dance team competition with the 8000 underage girls was not cool. I'm a teacher. I was taking this trip to get away from the shrieking. I made an ass of myself in front of Genoway's mom (I think that's what she said). I was drunk and went to the pool. It was a kiddie pool. Might have been warm only due to the piss. Anyways, I then decided to lift dumbells while waiting for the elevator. About tipped over. Funny, but stupid. Met some people whose daughter used to live in the same apartment complex as me here in Palmdale, CA. Met plenty of other fans who always commented on how well Sioux fans travelled. Some of the dancers thought I was a player. The best was sitting behind the Gershman's at the games. Happy Harry's owners for you that don't know. So here I am high fiving Hal in a bright green wig after every goal and all I can think of is how Happy that guy has made me through the years. Damn he has a lot of my money. Can't wait until next year when I'll be back in Minnesota and able to travel to go to games again. What a blast.

My mom talked to Jake and he's very proud to be getting his degree done in four years. If anyone was at the Crowne, my mom brought my brother and I and her mom. She was great. Got the whole team to autograph a penant, talked to Eddie and he took pictures with us. She is currently working on putting CD's of pictures together for each player. I don't even think she watched the games she was taking so many pictures. Just thought I should thank her since I mentioned her.

The first time Greene hit him he cross checked him. But that wasn't called. Greene then went to hit the player again, and I swear he barely knicked him because the DU player was already falling. That is when a call was made. I haven't watched the game for a TV replay, but was sitting right on the goal line so the play was right in front of me.

And now Lucia is complaining to the WCHA over ESPN playing it. Though this was reported by INCH and we know how reliable they are. My feeling: He did it in public and gave no explanation. ESPN has every right to air it and talk about it. I'm sure they wouldn't have if Hirsch came out and said it was serious.

Eddie hasn't changed in years. He looks the same as 10 years ago. Eddie is here at the team's hotel drinking in the bar with everyone. He's been taking pictures with people and signing autographs.

I'm hitting two threads at once with this. First off, I support the name. Secondly I've been waiting since my college days to hear why it should be changed. Nothing has ever been convincing. Plus, I've always heard it from white people (why are we the only ones labeled by color?). I became a teacher. Go check out that building. Rotting ceiling tile, asbestos, and crappy desks and chairs. It'll never get repaired due to teachers not making any money and being able to donate. Maybe I'll win the lotto one day. While in school I was forced to take a diversity class. I learned a lot. I didn't much care for one political view being forced on me, but it was informative. Now I'm teaching in California. Last year in a very poor part of San Bernardino full of illegal immigrants from Mexico. Very poor. I had students that literally lived in boxes or their cars. I was one of only a hand full of white people. This year I'm in Palmdale teaching high school. Again a poor area and out of 175 students I have maybe five white kids, a handful of african americans, and the rest are of hispanic origins be it Mexico or not. The reason I bring all this up is because when my kids first saw my University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux pennant, they asked, "what's a Sigh-Ox?" What a learning tool for me. I got to teach the knowledge (though limited) that I have about Native Americans and especially the North Dakota tribes. Now my students can pronounce the name and even ask about things that come up like Red Lake. Without the name attatched to the University, no one in this country would care/hear about the Sioux/Lakota/Dakota/or whatever else.

Champion air was a baaaaad experience during Providence. Though it was cool partying in the airport all night.

I'm thinking we'll get quite a bit of talk from them since they were just our announcers.

It's me and three others hitching a ride on the charter. At least we are on the list. I however, will probably find a way no matter what. Oh, and the fiance has to stay home and work. So much for that week of seeing her for the first time since X-mas.

I think the two week layoff helps the Gophers a lot more than us. Sure we are banged up, but we also have a ton of momentum and can score right now. The Gophers can't and I'd want to play them asap in case their touch comes back. EDIT: Plus we are playing well. Not much to harp on and fix. Lucia now has plenty of time to right that PP.

I heard that as well. When he was asked, I should've changed the channel. The guy picked the loser of every game but Minny/Cornell.

I like how ESPNU's studio analyst keeps picking the East teams to win. Oh wait he's from the east and coached in the east. I guees he did just pick Minny to save face.
