CSTV interviewed one of the NCAA selection people (mike Hall?). He is out of South Carolina Upstate or something like that. Said it took them less than five minutes to pick The Ralph to be host. Also said that some publications have the The Ralph as #3 in all sports venues behind Staples Center (nothing special) and Madison Square Garden. I have never heard any of this. They did a few shots just from the baseline cam. Looked like the lower bowl sides were filled for the night game.

Seems some games for this tourney are on CSTV. Women's DII is on ESPNU.

Does anyone else feel like Growzdecky gave the extra game just because his reputation has taken a beating this week? I mean it's Wednesday already. He's had over four days to do this. Better yet, what does this now say to the WCHA and Adam that his own coach says

Metal detector won't protect you from guns, but I'm sure they have a big problem with knives. The security guards aren't equipped for something like this. They are there for discipline reasons. Rooming hallways and picking up truant kids, breaking up fights, and just getting troublesome kids out of the room. I am curious if the guard was wearing a flak jacket. When I was in San Bernardino, they did. At that school they had shootings in the past and even last year a parent showed up waving a gun while I was nearby. The school I work at now in Palmdale (left S.B. for obvious reasons) has many more students and many more security guards, but none wear flak jackets. Though we do have an LA County Sheriff that is at our school almost all day long.

What bugs me is that the NCAA picks regions that play on different ice surfaces from where the Frozen Four is. Is there any other sport with such a descrepency in it's demensions? Baseball doesn't count, because all of the base paths are the same.

If I remember correctly, the DirecTV people (me) had it nice last year, because the east coast stations put on the games that Victory was carrying. It was just that they were on tape delay. I know I watched the Sioux live, but can't remember if they were the ones being covered by Victory.

I agree on the FSNN especially since they'll have to buy the rights and show the Wisco game on the FSNN-Wisconsin.

I don't like our bracket. I really did not want to play BC until we hit the Frozen Four. Especially having to play them in their backyard. The good news is that it is an NHL rink. CC, though, is the real loser yet again in the NCAA's eyes. What does that team have to do to get rewarded just once in the tourney? Yet again in Mich with Mich. The biggest thing that stands out to me in all this is how truly even most of the teams are. Watching all the games this weekend from other tournaments and no one really stands out as the team to beat. Though I think BC comes closest.

They should be as I got tickets through UND for a regional one time. I believe the NCAA always allocates so many tickets to each school. You might have to get in line behind the big donors though to get them.

I thought I saw scrolling across the screen that all the games will be on ESPNU and ESPN Syndicated. Meaning they are going to sell the region games to the Fox networks still.

You can order it for the weekend and then cancel on Monday. They normally pro-rate stuff, so it should only cost a couple of dollars. Just say you didn't like it. Though, they may make you pay full for the first month, but $12 is worth it.

This is a "fixed" prediction due to BU hosting the Worcester regional. Boy does this create a mess when trying to "fix" the brackets. In "fixing" my brackets, I think UND will get the short end of the stick. They won't move Mich. out of Grand Rapids and BU can't play UNH, so UND needs to switch. Then I switchedc the 9, 10, 11 seeds just to try and even it as best as I could.

Why can't BU and Minnesota be in the same region. Would make a very good story line for ESPNU and would still keep attendance very high. Is it because BU is "hosting" a region?
