UNLV had a scoring chance as time expired in the first period. Don’t tell my wife I said this but I was actually hoping UNLV would’ve scored.

They played Oh, Canada when CC played Briercrest College at the beginning of the season. I thought that was a classy gesture given the long distances the Clippers had traveled for just one game.

I’ll be at the game this afternoon between the Skatin’ Rebels, as DU announcer Jay Stickney was referring to them as, and CC. I foresee the Rebels either having gotten Mayotte and his players’ attention and CC blowing them out of the building or another upset due to UNLV’s hot goalie stealing the show making 70 saves.

He’ll be performing all this weekend at The Lounge. Be sure to try the veal.

Well done is ruining a good steak. Medium rare is the only way to go.

Schlossman wrote a very nice piece on EJ and his family and his mom spoke about how setbacks have actually been a positive in his development over the years playing hockey. Given what she said, I can see EJ being royally T’d off, feeling snubbed and will use this as motivation to prove his doubters wrong. I feel bad for him, he’s developing into a great collegiate player and could see him wearing a letter next season for UND.

Right?! I heard that too and said to my wife, “oh, really?”

In the post game interview, did I just hear the Alabama head coach say they were more talented? I mean, yah I’m sure they are but to say it?

Wow, upon listening to the coaches show with RJ Enga, CC really does produce nothing but whiney, entitled victims (present company, of course).

Anyone know of or have a link to the radio show with Enga? I’d love to hear what he said first hand.

We were classmates at CC. Helluva hockey player but thought of himself as a big shot. Arrogant.

Glad I decided to stay home in the Springs tonight and watch the game on NCHC.tv. CC couldn’t generate much sustained offense. Credit DU for buttoning up their defensive and neutral zone play tonight. No odd man rushes given up to the Tigers.

I loved that goal he scored last weekend at Miami. At first it looked like he was attempting to do the lacrosse scoop and score but then decided to backhand it in. And I think his goal came shortly after Miami had scored. Happy for the guy.

After a decade plus of constant butt kickings and disappointment, tonight felt good. Yah, DU’s got us Tigers by a country mile in national success but tonight was ours. It felt good. Crazy comeback. If CC hadn’t made those dumb turnovers to go down 3-0, who knows? Five unanswered goals though for CC.

I personally would love to see an NIT tournament. Is it a natty? Of course not, but it could be a fun experience for the players and fans.

Woog let it be known for his dislike of the CC road jerseys back in the early 2000’s that had the horizontal gray stripe that wrapped around the back that partially covered the numbers.
