Cupcake city. Plus, 7 of their 10 games are at home. Those could be Pairwise killers if they lose some of these.

Pardon me if this has been addressed but does anyone have any insight as to when we can expect to hear who’ll fill the last remaining two roster spots?

Is it me or did Woden seem awfully evasive (and a tad defensive) when Carle pressed him to provide specifics backing his position on the whole home site issue? Carle handed him his lunch, IMO.

Just wanted to let everyone know I’m doing my part to help support the Grand Forks economy. In town visiting family and stopped at the Red Pepper for a grinder (with taco meat) and a soda.

Seriously. When the next destination game in Austin was announced what, last fall, I more or less shrugged my shoulders and moved on with my day, resigning to the fact I wasn’t going to go. Now it’s actually something I’m kinda excited about possibly attending.

Who Do you think in the NCHC is our biggest rivals?
Godsmack replied to Und Princess's topic in Men's Hockey
To CC, next to Denver I bet they’d say UND is their biggest NCHC rival. They’re still talking about the 4 game sweep of UND from two seasons ago. I think there’s even talk of hanging a banner to commemorate the achievement. -
I see Jordy Murray is the son of former Broncos coach Andy Murray. And the brother of former Sioux Brady Murray.

Former CC Tiger Jaccob Slavin with the OT winner for Carolina over Washington in game one of the second round.

Tristan Lemyre from Western to Minnesota State. Does that mean the purple cows are the odds on favorite to win the natty next season?

I wish Colorado Springs would get a minor league club or at least a junior hockey team. If memory serves, an NAHL team is starting up north of Denver.

Seriously. It’ll be a miracle if Winnipeg wins this series seeing that their starting goalie got yanked three times.
-
If you know your starting goalie hasn’t played well on the road you’d think you’d make more of an effort to play better defensively.

Hellebuyck is a major sieve in the playoffs.

Guy in a NoDak jersey sitting behind the Carolina bench. Can always count on seeing at least one UND jersey at an NHL game.

Anyone seeing what PK Subban is wearing tonight on ESPN? It looks like he’s wearing freakin’ ladies culottes!

This Montreal/Washingon game has been hard hitting.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
Godsmack replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
If memory serves, Hobie was originally committed to CC as you’d mentioned but then decommitted and came here. -
Not sure where to post this but the Kraken fired head coach Dan Blysma after one season at the helm. He was hired to replace Hakstol. Maybe GM Ron Francis ought to be the one scrutinized for the team’s lack of success?

On the most recent Live in Five podcast with Mankato coach Troy Ward, Schmaltz had me in stitches at various moments of the interview. The last two-three minutes was hysterical where he goes into this bit about old teammates, acquaintances, etc randomly hitting him up with texts about the open assistant coaching gig at UND. It was really funny!

Okay, Schlossman, I’ll bite…who was in the recruiting battle?

Excellent post, bale31. Couldn’t agree more with everything you just said. I too listened to that episode of Live in Five and frankly found it one of their best episodes largely because of Coach Ward. My ears perked up when he talked about having or getting a thick skin, not only in dealings with players, parents, and agents, but also opposing coaches. He was clever in his choice of wording and reading between the lines, I took his comments to be directed at other programs raiding his and/or other smaller programs’ talent by throwing money at them. I don’t blame Mankato fans for being pissed seeing guys that their program spent time and resources recruiting and in some cases, developing only to see them bail. On a side note, I took a hockey trip to Minnesota State to see you guys play UND, I wanna say second half of the 2012-2013 season. If memory serves, UND lost the outright share of the McNaughton Cup because we lost the Saturday night game to you guys in overtime. That said, I stuck around to watch the celebration by your players and fans and it was such a fun atmosphere there in your barn. It definitely ranks up there in my list of favorite road trips. Fans were super cool.

It seriously is not a good look for the family name. If I’m Bubs, I’m telling my kid to knock it off.
