Not ND HS hockey but just read Schloss’ article about EGF beating Warroad to go to state. Question: If Warroad was one of the state’s top seeds to lose, why were they playing on the road at East Grand Forks? Shouldn’t they’ve been playing at Warroad?

I hope the boys from Western went out and celebrated and got absolutely polluted last night but something tells me that they would still come out tonight, hung over and make a game of it.

I stuck around to watch Western’s celebration. It was fun to see for their program and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your feelings for our current NCHC commissioner, her mic wasn’t working so we couldn’t hear her talk as she awarded the Penrose cup to the Broncos.

If not for TJ, it would be about 5-0 already.

Remember the year Denver forced us to buy some lame DU sports package? Had to buy other DU sports teams’ games with the hockey tickets.

I heard it’s spring break at Western. I recall Denver trying to schedule either UND or CC over winter breaks or spring break so they could sell the student section seats.

Anyone have any insight as to why CBS doesn’t televise a Friday NCHC game of the week during the first half of the season?

Last night, we sat through the St. Cloud broadcast. I’m sure Geno Parrish is a nice guy but man, very difficult to listen to his fan boy color commentary. I think UND has it good compared to other programs’ commentators.

So dumb Veinbergs. Shouldn’t have done that. I see him working at the arena every Sunday night when I have my beer league game at Robson. I’m going to have to give him some grief about that.

Can you elaborate? -We bailed at 3-1 and about 13 minutes left to get our 5 year old home so only listened to the rest on the radio.

I think I’ve been relegated to sleeping downstairs in the guest room tonight. With about 15 minutes to play in the third, I proclaimed that CC had this game in hand. CC collapsed down the stretch before settling for a 5-4 overtime win but my wife is none too happy with me.

Noah Laba left the game in the second period last night and didn’t return.

Something told me not to purchase tickets for the UND at DU series. Thank god I finally listened to my intuition for a change.

Looker said UND had a shorthanded lineup tonight. So that’s why we lost!

Maybe beer league champs?

It’s looking like we could very well be traveling back to Denver potentially for a first round playoff series.

They should take a page out of my beer league and aim for the goalie’s chest and perhaps half the time they’ll end up hitting the corners.

If memory serves, Siembida came in at the 11th hour and helped UND win the Great Lakes Invitational his first weekend of college hockey. But yah, after that, pretty pedestrian.

Pandolfo must not have been too thrilled with his goaltenders. He brought up a 6’5” freshman from Russia who’d been playing for the Omaha Lancers up until two weeks ago. Kid stopped about 40 shots tonight against the Eagles.

The Wisconsin commentator talked about the shots Brooks got in but clearly missed the ones Commodore got in.
