it's 2-1 buddy

It sounds like Jaker is playing great.

Gopher score?
-
I wear my jersey around school down here in southern MN and obviously I get the negative comments from Gopher punks but I do get a lot of compliments of what a sweet jersey it is. I think it's the logo. Nobody has a logo like that.

It's great to be a Sioux fan right now and it's great to be a Gopher hater too! If Brandt keeps playing this way and the defense keeps playing this well there is no stopping us.

Denver 6 Minnesota 2 in the 3rd

You can't make the excuse that the any team wins a championship because it's in front of the home crowd or they have the majority of the fans. That's just ignorance. In some circumstances you might be able to argue a team winning a championship but when a team wins two in a row you have to give them props. I hate the Gophers but they did win two NCAA championships in a row and that is a huge accomplishment.

Fabian got hosed. I can't believe they make him share the stinking Rookie of the Week with some Denver punk. Fabian clearly had the better numbers of the two. Pick a stinking winner and quit worrying about upsetting somebody.

I am rather disappointed by this thread. I saw "Trifecta" and it was started by WPOS and I figured he would be talking about the Gophers three-peat. I was all ready to come on here and rip WPOS for posting that. Maybe some other time.

It sounds like the Gopher Mens Athletic teams are filled with a bunch of girls. The basketball team goes to movies together and the hockey team gets perms together. Next thing you know they'll be an article saying how they go to the bathroom together. What moron actually does a story on that? I mean did someone say they heard the hockey team was getting perms and this writer ran to get the scoop? That's terrible reading if you ask me. I read the article and it had nothing interesting about it.

I have only been there once and I saw a lot of Sioux fans. If I was there I would defenitely chastise and threaten you.

If you have ever played a sport and won a title or championship of some sort you can see what I mean. It's the greatest feeling in the world. You can't put a price on it.

I guess I don't think like Jason Herter. If it was me and I was on a team that was the favorite to win a NCAA title but an NHL wanted me to sign a contract and go play for them right away I would choose college. It may be a risk to take either getting an injury or not performing as well and losing some money in another contract. I just think that winning an NCAA title would be a whole lot better than getting a measly $1 million dollars (if that) to play in the NHL. Heck, if you don't get hurt and you get better you can get more money. Good point though MafiaMan. I can see your (or Herter's) side of it.

How could any underclassmen want to leave this team we could have next year? I don't see anybody ditching what could be the greatest Sioux team ever assembled.

I missed a Sioux game for a wedding this year. I mean seriously, who schedules a wedding during a Sioux game? These people need to get their priorities straight. If my wife wants to get married during the day of a Sioux game she'll have to find another chump because I'll be watching the Sioux. I'll be sitting in my dorm room with my jersey on listening to both games on the internet. If that isn't Rube Cred I don't know what is.

Boy, that would really up the goals against average. What do you do with your goalies? Just tell them to hang in there kid.

My bad I read his signature the wrong way. I guess that explains moronic comments about Duluth being favored.
-
Why all the negativity? Have some faith in your Sioux. Even if you think Duluth is the better team you don't tell people that. You have to brag up your team as much as you can. That's what fans do. You don't give other teams "the edge." Sioux will sweep!
-
Blais's tendencies are Sandy's tendencies. I think Blais has the upperhand because he tought Sandy everything. The coaches don't play the games however, and with that said the team that plays the best will win both nights. My guess is that will be the Sioux both nights.

Don Lucia on PA & Dubay said if the Sioux want to do something against Duluth they will have to do it on Friday night because Duluth will be very hard to beat on Saturday night. Dubay said he doesn't think the Sioux can do anything in Duluth this weekend and Duluth will be skating with the McNaughton Cup on Saturday. First of all, there is no way the Sioux will let Duluth skate in front of them with the McNaughton Cup celebrating. Second, can someone please tell me what these stupid little Gopher punks are thinking? The Sioux have been ranked in the top two for a better part of the season and they are going to bring their A+ game to Duluth. The Sioux are not going to fold just because Duluth has a 15 game unbeaten streak. Let us not forget who handed Duluth their last two losses, the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux!
-
You can't think that like that though. You have to assume that Duluth will sweep Wisconsin. There is no way that Wisconsin taking two points from Duluth would be easy. The Sioux need a sweep against Duluth if they want the WCHA regular season title. If I was a Duluth fan I would be very nervous about playing the Sioux right now. After the 10-1 beat down on Mankato and the way Brandt looked against all of 16 shots he faced the Sioux are riding high. Look for both games to be close (maybe an OT thriller) with the Sioux coming out of Dulut in first place.

Next weekend the Sioux are the favorites in my eyes. With the sweep earlier in the season and holding the #1 ranking through a huge part of the season and now currently at #2 I am giving the Sioux the edge. Granted the Dogs have been very hott as of late and the Sioux have had hard times but after this weekend's beat down on MSUM I think the Sioux have gotten their groove back. With all of the playoff experience the Sioux have and with the little the Dogs have I think the Sioux will go to Duluth focused and ready to roll. It's going to be a great weekend in Duluth with two of the best teams in the country fighting for the WCHA title. I'm predicting a Sioux sweep.
