Did you just wish the Gophers good luck? I hope they get hammered by Duluth. I don't know any Gopher fans that would root for the Sioux if they were in a similar position.

I think it definitely hurts their chances. The voters will definitely take the result of the season into consideration even though they shouldn't. One would think that they would lean towards the players who lead their teams farther into the tournament. I still think they have a great shot at it though.

I don't think Zach is even contemplating leaving at this moment. He just poured everything he has into an entire season and it all came crashing down in a free fall. I know I am worried about Zach leaving for the NHL but I don't think that Zach hasn't even thought about it since the loss.

I HATE MARCH!!! I cannot imagine how the Sioux players must feel after that loss. I feel like my whole life just fell apart. What a disappointing end to an awesome season. Life goes on and next season cannot come fast enough. Just a little thing to remember, whether it's Duluth or the Gophers (I pray to God it's Duluth) who yank Berkhoel down to earth the Sioux will get to put up the banner that says "WCHA Champions" and Denver can put up their measily "NCAA Tournament Appearance" banner.

I don't think we have to worry about Smaby and Stafford being gone for more than one game. If they are halfway close to 100% I'm sure Blais would make them tough it out and play. It's March! everyone is sick and everyone is tired. Suck it up boys and go bring home a banner!

I wouldn't put any credibility into that article whatsoever. Have they seen Parise play? Have they talked to Blais? Have they talked to the Devils' coach? This article is just some east-coast reporter who wants Parise to leave so his precious BC Eagles and Maine Bears can win some titles.

If not the Sioux, anyone other than a WCHA team! I don't care about the stupid dominance of the league I care about the Sioux dominance in the WCHA. I would hate to see Duluth or Minnesota or Wisconsin or Denver win the national championship. I'm pro-Sioux!

I'm not making any predictions on this game or any following game. I'm just going to watch the games and hope the Sioux do well. I have had to many games where I'm cocky about the Sioux and then they let me down. I do have one prediction though. If the Sioux meet the Gophers in the Frozen Four the Sioux WILL NOT lose. Blais wouldn't let them lose to the Gophers and let the Gophers advance to win their 3rd straight. It just won't happen. It can't happen!

Who knows? I don't even think Blais knows at this point. My guess would be he'll see how they play in practice and then decide. The safe choice would probably be to go with Brandt but J Parise has played well and looks just as good as Brandt in games. Whoever Blais decides to go with it wouldn't be the end of our season if Brandt or J Parise let in 3 goals in the opening of a game because you have the other goalie to come in and the fire power to put up 5 or 6 goals a game if need be.

Let's hope this tournament turns out better for the #1 overrall seed than it did for my beloved Wildcats .

I wasn't there but I heard of some ushers being rude to UMD fans. I have never heard of an usher giving it to a spectator but you'd have to be pretty stupid because you'd get the boot in a hurry if your boss found out. What's the deal with UMD (and other schools fans) cheering for the Gophers when they play the Sioux. I watched the game with some Mankato fans (the word fans is used extremely lightly) and they were rooting for the Gophers! I have never met a fan of another team that roots for the Sioux against the Gophers. Are we really that hated?!

What kind of Sioux fan are you? Seriously, why would you not want to play the Gophers again? I would kill for the Sioux to play the Gophers in the Frozen Four. It would be the highlight of my life. The Sioux need to beat the Gophers again if they want to win a national championship because you can't end a season tied with the Gophers. It just doesn't seem right. Plus, where do you get the idea that Minnesota or Maine can't win their regions? Is this your first March? Anything team can win anything.

Watching the NCAA basketball tournament this week I realized that the basketball refs RARELY make a bad call. You do hear some fans booing the calls but every fan boos every call against their team. You rarely notice the refs in an NCAA basketball game. Now, I understand that hockey is totally different than basketball but the refs for hockey should be just as good as basketball. I'm not sure if conferences in basketball have separate refs but I don't think they do. I think the refs are run through the NCAA as a whole. Maybe hockey should look into combining all refs into a single organization. They wouldn't have to necessarily have east coast refs fly to the west but just the schooling and education part of it would benefit NCAA hockey.

An article on ESPN.com about the Victory Sports channel and the situation of it. It's absolutely ridiculous that they can't come up with a stinking deal.

This is what I wanted baby! Sioux are going to the finals! I don't see the Sioux not making it to the finals. I hope Sioux meet the Gophers in the Frozen Four because they will not lose. They can't lose if they make it that far. It's going to be a great tournament and I think the Sioux have a great shot at a title. We'll see how is all unfolds. We'll see you punk Gophers in the Frozen Four!

Some Notes of mine from the game: 1) The Gophers are the cheapest team in the nation. The skated into the Sioux players and Brandt numerous times after the play was stopped, unnecessary. 2) Ballard is not as good as these Gopher "fans" think he is. He is a SOFT defenseman and will get his cocky little butt whooped in the NHL, if he survives the minors. 3) Zach Parise is not human. 4) Brandon Bochenski is not human. 5) Jake Taylor is also a cocky little punk (much like Ballard) and has that cocky little smirk that WILL get whiped off one day. I don't care what Gopher "fans" say, Prpich is nothing like Taylor because Prpich contributes to his team. 6) It was a penalty on Zach when he was pulled down near the end of the game. 7) Vanek is a great player but laid a cheap shot on Parise that deserved a 5:00 but God forbid we give the Sioux what they deserve. 8) Brandt did not let in one good shot. However, he did make numerous mistakes that led to easy goals for the bad guys. 9) Briggs in no way deserved the player of the tournament. I do not see how Zach could not win the Hobey Baker this year but I have a feeling that he will get hosed much like he did for the Tourney MVP. 10) I HATE THE GOPHERS AND THEIR FANS AND IF THEY THREE-PEAT I AM GOING TO PUKE!

I disagree wholeheartedly. With so many great players at the U of M Parise would not get more awards.
