I think the reason Shanks starts is honestly to try to win the tip. There hasn't been a game recently that Shanks has had more minutes than Avants.

Yeah that's the thing I don't think everyone realizes. The player has a say in it. But I definitely agree it would have been nice to redshirt him. I'm thinking it did wonders for Geno.

Avants has definitely won some people over. I remember against Wisconsin I believe somebody said he looked like a random guy they picked up in the hotel lobby.

Was listening to Tim and Swig this morning and they were talking about the team and how they're the 7th youngest in the nation. Pretty ridiculous. I have never been much of a Jones supporter but I'm thinking barring anything drastic he will be coaching this team still the next couple of years. Now we need to just finally beat Weber.

I like what they did for NAU and the ACC.

I think the whole no "scholarship" QB scares people. It's like in the NFL draft fans are going to get a lot more excited about drafting a QB than signing an I drafted one. This is not to say there are not exceptions (Warner and Romo) but it's far less likely. I sure hope Bolinske can develop into a good QB.

Can't wait until Wednesday to get these guys signed. Also, I know it's all arbitrary but it would be cool to see more FCS rankings and class rankings. We may not place highly on the lists but it's still fun to glance at.

Wasn't sure where to put this but what are peoples thoughts on Danny Freund? Currently the WR coach was the RB coach does he have the potential to be our OC one day? I really like him and he seems to be a really solid recruiter.
