Went to the Stampede vs Des Moines game last night in Sioux Falls. I’m not a hockey expert but tried paying attention to Costello when I could and he looked pretty solid. Good puck possession. It seemed to me on at least one of their power plays they were running through him. The real story of the game was defending champ Spud took second in the Weiner Dog Race. Oh and there was almost a goalie fight.

This is far too similar to UND giving Muss an extension after winning the GWFC. We are going to be stuck in a rut.

I guess I don’t know if MM plans to stick with his current job or with the UND athletic department but I feel like even though we didn’t hire MM we are still getting his influence within the department (assuming he stays) while also getting the guy they wanted with experience.

So are ADs like GMs as in they come in and replace some coaches with their own hires? Wouldn’t mind him taking a look at a certain coach.

I feel like typically there’s a lot more excitement surrounding this. Is this due to the earlier date or are people disappointed with the class?

This class seems to have some nice pieces (Siegel, Maag, Slater, Bruner) but I don’t think it’s complete until there’s a QB!

So I’ve heard that Pitino does want Geno but Geno wants to be here. We will see how that turns out though.

Also, I’m fine with this Iowa connection thing but I still want us to see us hit the cities more. Geno, Hooker and Bledsoe are some of the best players to roll through here in recent memory.

Who are kind of our bluechip recruits right now? I seem to recall Tychonick being one.

Any players going to redshirt? No idea who Ethan Igbanugo is so maybe him? It would be nice if Buchanan and Franken did as well. I guess I am not as familiar with some of the players as I have been in the past.

Any QBs on the radar? Would hate to have another class without a QB.

Anyone know how Boltmann has looked? I would assume he would be our 3rd string QB next year but would be nice for him to make some noise and push Zimmerman and Ketteringham.

So we have any big recruits in this weekend? Seems like it would be a big weekend to bring in some of our more coveted recruits. I know it’s been a tough season but usually a lot more activity in here I feel.
