Kind of surprised to see Jake Hansen move to ILB. Can't really see him ever making an impact on the field but seems like a real team player.

I somewhat agree that conference play should be the major factor when looking at mid-majors but 28-30 is not a good conference record. And don't make the excuse of transition because he has an overall conference record of 57-72 which includes seasons in the NCC and Great West. Also, it would be nice to occasionally get some good wins that can put us on the map a bit. We won our first nonconference road games this year I believe since something like 2012? That is pathetic.

Agreed completely, just my thoughts on the way Jones played him this season.

There is no chance that Hooker doesn't start. It seems likely that Seales will not redshirt, but I imagine Collins and McDermott do. You really think Seales and Crandall will get starting nods over seniors who started all year for us in De Rouen and Tyler? Not saying they don't deserve to but I see De Rouen and Tyler starting the year out in the lineup. The lineup that I hope to see is something like this: 1. Hooker 2. Crandall 3. Coleman 4. Cashman 5. Shanks

I mean you cannot argue with what Seales has done. Just go look on twitter and type in Cortez Seales North Dakota and you just see Iowa basketball writers raving about him and how he is such a steal for UND and surprised MVC schools didn't snatch him. Crandall is an unknown. Thanks for the thumbs up though, I do appreciate it.

Cannot wait to get this class on campus. By the sounds of it Seales and Crandall (already on campus obviously) could be saviors to Mr. Jones job.

This is just a thought I had, how often are successful head coaches anywhere near Jones height? Obviously Phil Jackson is one of the greatest head coaches of all time so he's an exception but honestly how many have been that tall? There may be no correlation but it seems that the best coaches are point guards and those that were not stars.

Let's hire somebody, anybody from Wisconsin's staff. They play basketball the right way.

There's a chance EWU loses Harvey. I guess he graduates in the spring and will be able to transfer and play immediately if he wants.

I have never seen Hanson play football and have only seen one game of him playing basketball but we can absolutely not lose him to NDSU in either sport. I know he visited NDSU this past year for football but from what I have heard he is more likely to choose basketball.

I think Saul accepting the job at Ohio U may have been the best thing to happen to NDSU. If I recall correctly, many were not big fans of his and were calling for his head after the game against us last season. Seems like Richman was a very good hire for them.

So hoopster, in your opinion what would Jones have to go next year in order to be fired? I just wish since hoopster believes Jones is such a good coach that some other school would come calling.

One thing that I noticed about NDSU that I like is that they all wear the same shoes. It's a small thing but makes them seem like more of a team. We have players wearing all kinds of different shoes. Really not a huge deal just something I noticed.
