Everyone saying NDSU got lucky blah blah blah needs to shut up. Yeah sure SDSU losing was fortunate but we had the same opportunity to take advantage and we didn’t.
Went to the championship game last year between USD and SDSU. Atmosphere was great obviously with the two schools close location but I don’t think Bismarck or Billings would provide a better option. The only way I see it leaving SF anytime soon is if they elect to go to campus sites but I would prefer to see it stay as is.
I guess I am not too familiar with what everyone else in the conference has returning but I think what we should have returning could compete in the top half of the league for sure. Led by Marlon and Rebraca and throw in Eikens.
That wouldn't surprise me at all. I feel like there's a lot of potential departures this year with all the foreign players. Obviously I don't want any of them to leave but it's tough being so far away from home.
Great write up @SWSiouxMN! I’m excited about this game because I made the trip down to Vermillion to catch it. I will be honest, the last time I was in the DakotaDome was when Streveler spanked UND in 2017 so let’s hope for some better luck today!
I haven't been able to make it to many games this year due to playing on Wednesday's but there's a lot to like about this team for the future. One thing that is noticeably different about this team than some past Brian Jones teams is there isn't quite as much athleticism. That's not necessarily a bad thing and maybe a planned move adapting to the Summit but you just don't see as many dunks as I remember in the past other than from Rebraca and I guess Bijek but we all know he should have redshirted, hopefully he isn't discouraged by the lack of playing time.
We have one more spot open in this class correct? With only Eikens so far coming in and we lose Seales and Avants. I know people have mentioned it would be nice to get a true PG on this team (Jamal Webb). Any PGs to watch for or any other position?
To D sorry was referring to my previous comment. I just think he’s a good athlete than needs to see the field. I hope it’s behind the center but if that opportunity doesn’t present itself or is looking less likely than why not put him somewhere where he can see the field?
I’m a big Bolt fan and hope he gets a shot but I had heard that if Rudy would have still been here, thank god he’s not, that Bolt likely would have made the switch so I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss it.
