Is there a bigger snake than Nielsen? Guy gives me the willys. Total used car salesman/corrupt politician. Makes me shudder. Doesnt like what he's seen in Macomb apparently. Slick and greasy.
-
You don't follow your "rival" and their board? Well, there you go... Anyone who is reasonably objective and open-minded understands winning a FCS Championship is a big deal because it's the same one we are after at the level we play at. It's childish to suggest otherwise
-
I'm guessing here, but he looks like a DE in the 3-4.
-
Objectively speaking, it is my belief that since Faison paid for the extension that may or may not have been warranted, he can also pay for the buyout that may or may not be forthcoming.
-
I'm guessing because the staff believes he projects best there for their defense. Just trying to get faster and more athletic at all positions. The defensive guys have a recruiting track record of bumping guys down from their high school position in an effort to make their defenses faster and more athletic.

Hartford will play ILB.

Best post in a while. This still has me laughing. I'm a simple man I guess...
-
2 commits, 2 others with offers is my understanding.
-
I stand corrected. Only 4-5 recruits in this weekend.
-
I believe it was completely circumstantial relative to who offered and when. I think if SIU had come in first in 2007, he would have still said no. If Montana St had come in 2008, he would have said yes. I agree with you that Montana State is the better opportunity now, but because of all the off the field "black eyes" in the football program before Ash arrived, I think that played a factor in his ultimate decision making regarding the job in Bozeman. Dale is a Montana type of guy, if that makes sense, for a lot of different reasons. I'd say there is about a 1% chance he even considers USD and about 10% chance he considers Montana State. Of course that's assuming they both were to go after him. However, this is speculation on my part as I have no recent direct knowledge of either situation specifically.
-
Lets also not forget that Dale did something immediately that he didnt have to do by scheduling UND for a non-conference game in Carbondale at a time during the transition when scheduling for UND was.....lets say....difficult...for quite some time. How selfish of him.
-
We have a winner. ^^^^^ Dale also attempted to take care of his staff and keep it intact, which fell on deaf ears. "Dale, you can be replaced ya know....plenty of other coaches out there"... He gave them ample and fair warning by interviewing in Bozeman and turning it down. They thought he was bluffing. Then SIU came calling the next year.
-
I like that list a lot. I like Nigel, but not sure he 's quite ready for the UND job yet. I would substitute Craig Smith for Nigel Jenkins, assuming he's 'gettable', which may or may not be the case. Picking from those 4 would be a nice start.
-
Well you are certainly entitled to that opinion and more importantly as you stated "incorrect assumption".
-
So you dont know the reasons either. You seem to know a lot. Do your own research.
-
If anyone knows the cumulative reasons why Dale left and still is sour on him, so be it I guess... However, I'd be willing to bet the majority don't know the details on that (maybe i'm wrong). It appears to me that specifically gfhockey doesnt.

I seem to remember a discussion about Stony Brook's defense a couple years ago?
-
I'm saying all levels of football have changed over the last 4o years you refer to. FCS is what it is now. Its also the level UND plays at. Why belittle that and what the cow college has done? We are trying to be the best we can at the level we play at. I just dont even understand why that even needs to be brought up. Who cares.
-
Oh cmon....the majority of those schools left in the mid-70s. This point/argument is sterile and ridiculous. We don't play in the SEC and never will. If that' a problem for you, then maybe stop following FCS football and cheer for Alabama or Minnesota or whatever.
-
Agree with homer. Almost a certainty 2-4 kids won't redshirt. I think Evan Holm is on the 2 deep....like yesterday. Hope he gets here early this summer. Wonder how long before we see an early enrollee on campus for spring semester classes, lifting and spring ball to get them ready for fall with no redshirt?
-
Correct. They are on the road as we speak. I'd guess 8-10 kids this weekend. These first 2 weekends, as always, will be huge for getting top-end kids.

Committee Chair Wilson: (paraphrasing here) "Yeah, we weren't quite convinced that UND was playoff-worthy so we stayed up REALLY late just for that reason (since there was nothing else to watch or wait for)....til like 2 am or something....to watch them $h!tstomp Cal-Poly and hold them to 153 yards rushing in a game that wasn't as close as the final score...." Cal-Poly Rushing Yards vs PAC 12 opponent and 4 playoff teams: Montana 330 yds Arizona St 284 yds UNI 350 yds Portland St 420 yds Southern Utah 535 yds "....And THEN we left them out. Just wanted to stay up and watch the game and be sure they weren't worthy." Thanks for clarifying and justifying Mark! He goes around and around in circles hoping everyone sees his points, but it never happens. He never answered the "tougher" questions from GF or Fargo media that were asked of him in print or on the air. The guy is a flat-out liar. Yeah I just went there. That game didn't matter. Let's get the ISU AD on off the record...
-
Oh I see.....another fly in the soup.... The ol' "unimpressive low quality win" doomed us ALONG with our FBS win and "low quality loss".... Makes sense.
-
LOL this guy is going in circles and contradicts himself and the committee over and over...It is laughable.
