  1. Not surprised. Gwoz is "in" right now.
  2. Brian Lee is among the leaders in goals among defensemen in the playoffs even though his season is over.
  3. It's not the end of Zach's career if he doesn't make the all rookie team. NJ is still very high on him and Lamorello knows what he's doing.
  4. Dagies- Also, Chris Peluso is listed on Heisenberg as available. He was a 2004 draft pick. He's no bigger than Jones, though. Not a bigtime scoring defenseman either. Just figured that he may have talent seeing how he was drafted and all.
  5. You're right. My mistake. 3 seniors, though only 2 may actually be playing for us next season.
  6. I really don't think we're going to be weak at forward. We're already faced with sitting some pretty good players if no one defects. If we want someone to fill in, maybe we should hope for a walk on that can be another Canady or Fabian type player. We need to plan for Bina to be unavailable for next season, this means 1 to 2 more defensemen. I really don't know who I'd go for either. I wouldn't put it past Hakstol to have a goaltender walk on. I really don't think a scholarship should be made available for any position other than defense due to the age of our team. Next season we will only have two seniors (Prpich and Greene if he stays).
  7. Hate to beat a dead horse, but in the WCHA, that probably would have only been a minor penalty.
  8. Don't cloud the issue with logic. It will rain on their parade. Let the NHL dream the idiotic dream.
  9. 44/47 ranking for me. At least I did better than dagies
  10. He thanked me? Wow. Sorta speechless.. Except for this post.. yeah. Thanks, Federov.
  11. He'll get it this year, too. Back to Back titles. Can't argue with success.
  12. You know, that would be the first thing I'd do. Get him some new skates and burn the ones worn during the game as a means of ridding himself of the bad fate within them. Even if you aren't superstitious, (or more importantly if Matt isn't superstitious) this could help him feel better.
  13. I don't know if it has actually been announced, but Hakstol deserves the Penrose, but I wouldn't bet against Gwoz getting the honor. He's "in" right now.
  14. I agree with the message, but I'm confused with the picture. You show Chris Porter, who is a sophomore. Did you intend to show a senior or did you intend just to show Porter putting the smack down on some DU guy?
  15. Ditto.
  16. This is why I really feel bad for him. He played so well the entire second half of the season and then stepped up (if you can from playing as well as he was) during the NCAAs. He was a top quality defender and it really wouldn't matter who it was, be it Greene, Schneider, or whomever, it was puck luck that had his skate where it was. You cannot hold it against him, but that won't stop him from questioning himself. I hope he doesn't beat himself up over this. It was a fluke. Get 'em next year, Matt! Stay cool!
  17. Just wanted to say that I stand by this even though the outcome wasn't what I wanted. Piotrowski has to work harder than that to screw a game as well as Adam or Anderson.
  18. I won't be able to make it either, but I'd like to say the same thing. It may not be #8, but this was still a banner year. We are proud.
  19. Yeah. The first two DU goals appeared to have deflected off of Smaby's skate. I feel really bad for him, but nothing was worse than seeing Bina, forehead against the glass in the waning moments of the game. G-D those guys wanted it so badly for him. I hope they don't tear themselves apart. They really did far better than what they were supposed to and I can say that I'm still the proudest I've ever been being a Sioux fan. I really wanted to blame the refs. But really, why? They really only missed one call. And that call wouldn't have changed the game. The waved off goal was really not something that was worth arguing over. Sure, the glove was in the net, but where was the puck? That glove was slanted such that, if the puck were in the heel of the glove, it wouldn't have been across the goal line. It had to be waved off. Just a ton of tough breaks. Everyone played so hard. So very hard. One thing is certain from my perspective: I like our chances next year, even with UMN having Kessel.
