Are you comparing Mollberg to Wentz and Hackenberg?
-
NDSU offers five less sports, not a good arguing piece for you. I guess UND needs to drop some sports and provide less opportunities like NDSU does. Then, shift about 25% more of their scholarships to the Men's side and everything will be even.
-
Right. They were forced to move down. They fought it tooth and nail and didn't politic for it.
-
Same reason why Valley City, St. Marys, Shanley, Beulah, Wahpeton, and so forth were "too small" to compete with the AAA schools in football. So they move down and manhandle every AA team. Gee, that's fair to those teams that are legitimately small towns. All about winning by having every advantage possible. Upsets be damned. Now the bottom AA teams should say they are too small to compete with VC and Shanley and then go beat the hell out of A teams. And trickle it on down...

He just got a preferred walk on from Texas Tech.
-
You need to look into things a bit more. "Quitting on the team" is leaving them during the season. He waited out the semester and then went home at Christmas break. Plus, the reason why is more than enough reason to "quit on the team".
-
To add to that, the 'A' Boys tournament should be in Bismarck every year or every other year, too. Anyone who has been to the WDA when BHS, Mandan, St. Marys and Century are involved would agree. Now add Legacy to that mix.
-
They had to pass to somebody eventually, plus they scored a good amount of points. Doesn't mean the players weren't a bit selfish and didn't go 1 on 3 alot. If you can't see the difference between how this team plays and how those teams played then we can't help you. It's quite obvious.
-
You stated this also: "Doesn't seem like Bubba would put up with not putting the work in to just show up and play. Definitely wouldn't want to set that precedent". The situation is far different than that. Letting him come back to the team would be a 100% positive for all parties involved. This isn't like another local college team who had their player quit the team mid-season, air his laundry in the paper, but then allow him to come back only weeks later. THAT would be a bad precedent to set.

So the kid should be shunned for the rest of his career because he did the right thing at the time? Career over after 1 semester due to going back and being with his baby when he was obviously needed?
-
Do you know WHY he went back to New Town? The situation certainly is unique and one that most coaches would work with.
-
Thanks for swing by. We all appreciate it.

I am sure both basketballs run in the red, most all collegiate programs do.

Simple Dan is up early on Sunday. Hard hitting stuff.

This might be the stupidest f'ng thing I have read on Siouxsports. Nice work.
-
Final four of the conference tourney? LOL. Congratulations.
-
So we are talking $708.36 for UND vs. $607.86 for NDSU?
-
So all of the sudden this year they became too expensive deal with? Nothing has changed for NDSU. Same programs, same costs as every other college has to endure. Do they go up at times, yep. So does everyone elses. Once again - why this year? You played USC...in what?
-
Just signed up to post that? Sensitive issue in your world. Examples of costs supported by student fees include Student Government, Student Health, Bonds, Technology, Wellness, Memorial Union, Career Services, Substance Abuse Prevention Programming, Multicultural Student Services, Athletics, Student Success Center and the Judicial/Crisis Team. Is that the same "technology"?
-
Bottom line is UND will never drop Women's Hockey for one reason and one reason only: Title IX. And that sucks. UND has too many sports and WH is one that eats up a ton of money for very, very little return.

Every major basketball analyst rips the RPI apart and basically laughs at it. The Summit League uses it in promotional campaigns. Can't imagine how many other conferences roll their eyes at them. Yes, I know the Big Sky isn't good at basketball, we all got it. But the RPI is a clusterf-ck and simply fun for rubes to try and get some sort of baseline on teams.
-
True. Very dominant.
-
Look no further than their basketball teams. Like you said, not a big hockey town.
-
But, what are they raising it for? Why do they lie about that part? NDSU can raise it 50%, who cares. But not saying the real reason why is the problem.

Just win baby! Lets finish....
