You must be trying to relate it to UND/Jones somehow. I don't get it. The conversation is about SDSU making the tourney...to how long their coach has been there. Nobody gets fired after the transition to D1 basketball so what is your point?

This is what makes me nervous, too. We have seen this show before. Outstanding goalie all year with excellent defense in front of him possibly skewing his greatness. Get to the Regional Final or Frozen Four and they give up 4-6 goals in the biggest game of the year. Why? Possibly because the goalies defense is now getting broken down by better skill players (BC-BU) or a different "system" (Yale?) and he can't consistently make the one-on-one save.

Has nothing to do with that. The reason it works is because the offenders don't want to let down their teammates and feel shame watching them run. Now if the offenders don't give a sh-t about their teammates then it won't work. That will, however, shine through like a spotlight and they won't be on the team for very long anyway.

He has 100+ players on his roster. Jones has 15. And last years squad was the biggest bunch of misfits in the history of UND basketball.

Hoops, Here is the dealio. The masses don't like Jones and they aren't going to start now. The sooner you realize that the easier it will be for you. Faison has shown he will pay the next guy pretty close to market value for what he is worth. So you can stop worrying about that. I would expect the next coach to be around 150K.
