Never quite understood that. Many major college teams have a character logo of their nickname and alsoa "state" or "name" logo, like the interlocking ND.

I agree, not going to lose sleep over it. But, in this case it's only being used because REA won't incorporate the new logo. If the new logo was "acceptable" by KM standards then it would be there, IMO.

Telling you guys, basketball teams do not put text at mid-court. There is a reason why.

I am not a graphic designer but having 'North Dakota' at mid-court is too much, too distracting. Wordy, too many lines. Should be a logo, IMO. The interlocking ND always looked good there. Most teams do not put significant TEXT at mid-court.

I kind of like the ends of the court the way they are mocked up. I just do not like that big gaudy 'NORTH DAKOTA" at midcourt. Seems archaic and doesn't fit in.

I don't believe anybody "tied" record donations to the name. They were "un-tieing" the erroneous statements that have been made about how people are "not donating anymore due to the removal of the Sioux nickname/logo and insertion of the Hawk name/logo".

I would think so but wonder the cost of cutting out the turf, etc. probably not too unbelievable but that would be the next thing people bitch about during budget cut time.

What's really funny is McGarry cares enough to selectively choose what is placed at mid court of a basketball floor. I find it odd that Hodgson stated she chose what is to be placed there.

Are you able to read and comprehend? THE COACHES all want the logo at midcourt. COACHES-the one's who run the program and know what is best for their program's. These letters completely back up everything we have been saying about the REA not wanting to help UND transition to the nickname, etc. Undeniable.

I think you're combining too many things to form a false thought. Nobody complained before because nobody knew about it. Now it's coming to light. Next, I have not seen anybody saying football is bad because of the contract. They are asking why the REA would take so much football revenue.

Maybe true. But maybe she is also highlighting those negotiation issues to deflect from the real issue of the contracts. Has she ever addressed those issues, ya know, the one's that are actually the problem? It's like a parent telling their kid: "don't listen to how the coach is saying it, listen to what he is saying". What is Kennedy really saying?
