  1. Barry when talking abut Knies being a Maple Leaf draft pick at beginning of game said that Toronto has been bad for along time(they are going to be in the playoffs for 6th straight season) and that they have trouble scoring(2nd in NHL in scoring).
  2. We don't know how healthy he ever got after the dirty slash against the Gophers. Calder is a shooter and if your wrists aren't 100% it can definitely affect your game. I don't want to compare him to a certain former player who was on the championship team and also wore #16 who was a pretty good sniper and was injured early in his sophomore season, but it took him a while to find his scoring touch when he came back that year.
  3. True. But when Minnesota score their second goal they took their foot off the gas and it cost them. They did flip the switch again after Minnesota tied it and had the Gophers absolutly gassed as end of regulation but the Gophs managed to get to the locker room. Minnesota State today kept sending in two on the forecheck with a 1-0 lead for most of the game. I like that style. Be disciplined but keep trying to score.
  4. Actually based on the rules at the time they did about 3-4 things that were against the rules in place and it was still questionable at best.
  5. Maybe we weren't Rizzo's number 1 choice? I remember when we were recruiting Jason Gregoire and we told him we wanted to bring him to UND in 08-09 and Denver said they would bring him to campus in 07-08 so he committed to Denver even though UND was where he preferred to go. Then Denver told him they wanted him to play an extra year of Juniors and arrive on campus in 08-09. Since now since the circumstances were the same Gregoire flipped back to UND.
  6. Talked to Barry Melrose the next morning as he was enjoying a Cigar on the bench outside of the Embassy Suites as we were heading to the Twins game and he said something along the lines of tough loss, Michigan played the whole game not to lose and got away with it, and if they played 20 times Michigan would be lucky to win twice and unfortunately for you guys once was last night.
  7. They played earlier in the year. WMU beat them at Michigan and Michigan won at Kalamazoo with a little help from the men in stripes.
  8. Should be pretty straight forward. Do they swap Notre Dame and SCSU or do they swap SCSU and UMass? If they swap SCSU and UMass does that then become the Worcester Regional and the Worcester Regional become the Albany Regional or even the Allentown Regional if Michigan wants Albany?
  9. Kleven is a +16 which is tops on the team by a pretty good margin and last weekend was the first time he had been on ice for an even strength goal against in 14-15 games. Jandric and Frisch are going to log some heavy minutes on Friday.
  10. Mark Chipman or Dave Fennell still on the doner radar?
  11. There is a 98.5% chance that Michigan and Mankato will be the #1 and #2 overall. There is a 91>5 chance that Minnesota, Denver, WMU, and UND will occupy the #3 through #6 overall spots.
  12. She should play her Senior Season and then probably redshirt.
  13. And with the Transfer Portal I don't think most kids give a !@#$ anymore what the coaches contract terms are.........in fact, even before the transfer portal, that was always more of an ego thing for coaches anyway and most kids never did care about the head coach's contract at this level.
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in AHL/ECHL next year
  15. It was past players from Prior Lake on the jerseys.
  16. I believe Scott Richart scored 5 goals in a state tournament game as a D-man in 1980.
  17. Bellarmine University just won the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in their second year of Division 1. They are not eligible for the NCAA Tournament until 2024 I believe. They had a pretty good regular season as well. Their top 9 players are made up of 1 D1 transfer, 3 players who could be considered D1 recruits and 5 players(including their top 4 scorers) were all recruited as D2 players.
  18. Agree. There are 6 teams in the NCHC that would finish in top 3 in the BIg 10, first in Atlantic Hockey, Top 2 in WCHA, Top 2 in ECAC, and Top 4 in HE
  19. Same. Rumors looked packed so ended up going to Pourhouse.
  20. Unfortunately, we have some in our fanbase who are ignorant and have developed an attitude of elite condescension that used to run rampant and probably still does exist in the Gopher fanbase. The main aspect is that the other Colleges and Universities really only field hockey teams so that UND has someone to play.
  21. 11 a.m.-6 p.m---Buck Pitchers at the Spud 4 p.m.-7 p.m.--Buck Pitchers at the Bridge 7 p.m.-8 p.m.--2 for 1's at the Bridge Long Friday
  22. He seemed pretty gung ho when he got to campus. Then it seemed like he disappeared for awhile? When he has spoken at UND Booster luncheons he seems to really like being involved in the detailed minutia of the NCAA as a whole and maybe not directing his energy towards UND....just impression I get.
  23. They are both pretty safe as far as Pairwise goes with SCSU having a 99.8% chance to make the tournament and UMD at 92%. UMD would probably have a pairwise high enough to get in the tournament but need to make sure they keep their overall record at .500 or higher. IF SCSU sweeps in Duluth this weekend then UMD would have to win their playoff series to be even considered for the NCAA tournament. Even losing a series 2-1 would eliminate them. Basically, UMD needs to win at least one game this weekend or win their playoff series.
