I understand the four year vs. one more year talk, but my goodness. Spicer CHOSE to leave UND because he is not good enough to be on the team this year. I don't get it. Crazy to me that people are ripping Sendo and Hain, two captains, for a guy who looks like he can't handle competition.

"What is... all of it?, Alex" I fondly remember financial aid disbursement week during college. -

Ryder Donavan in the portal. Maybe he needed another year in junior?

We'll take it!

Absolutely. Gonna be a fun run. -
“Cody has grown from an offensively talented player, to a full 200-foot warrior that is strong in all areas of the ice. However, we’re most proud of Cody’s maturity into a Godly young man. He returned to Northstar this year with a goal of growing academically, athletically and spiritually and we believe Cody is ready to leave here and be a great leader.” GRINDA, but culture guy. I like it.

I like this move a lot. Playing in a more offense-centric league with less grinding and hitting for a guy that needs a bit of space and time to score. But, when he gets it, he's pretty lethal. I bet he puts up really solid numbers next season. He'll play his way into an AHL contract and inflict pain on Minnesota and others we hate. Good for all parties . Cheers, Ashton. Good luck!

Yep, I saw that. Well done! Makes me happy when you do. I understand you're a Grand Forker through and through, but he wasn't coming in this year. Dude made his own decision. Let him go....
-
*** SPOILER *** He won't respond. Only way he was coming in was if we had to have him. We don't. He was going to be asked for one more year in junior either way.

Feeney is in the portal. Sounds like he didn't want to be the No. 3/4 this year. Not much to see here, but good luck to you Mr. FEEEEENAAAAYYYYY! -

Yep. Good kid and seems like he was well-liked in the locker room. Has a lot of skill, too. Just couldn't be consistent with his lack of size. Wishing him the best, for sure. -

Yep! And if you've heard him since, I guarantee he was told not oversell "opponents'" goals anymore. He never blows up like that anymore.

My favorite part of that call was Scott Hennen announcing Michael Parks' goal over the PA when Nellie tied it.... "Scoring for North Dakota (not exact, but close) .... Mich... aelll.... Pa....." LaPanta: "SCORRRREEEEESSSSS! BROCK NELSON TIES IT!" .... Then the X absolutely explodes. I am hearing it in my head and I'm legit getting chills.

Man, I miss that tourney. So many incredible moments.
-
I nominate @Dustinas the commissioner of college hockey.
-
Perfect. I like this idea a lot, actually. Each region plays out over 3 days. Could use two close arenas, if need be.
-
Would the west region only host western teams and vice versa for east? I don't think I'd want that.
-
So, same format, just two eight-team regions held in two areas of the country that support hockey. I dig that.
-
But so would a decisive Game 3. Think of the first round of the NCHC when we have one on Sunday night at the Ralph. The crowd is always killer. Add the national tourney to that dynamic .... big time.
