Without going into detail, Berry had things going on his personal life that were never made public the last 4 or so years of his tenure. Obviously not the only reason for the slide late. But, I've tried to give him grace. Eyes through the windshield, for me.

He's a podcaster whose audience is kids who listen to him for this funny stuff. Your point is fair that both can be true. The fault lies with those, IMO, who are expecting he should always be buttoned up.

It doesn't indicate a future result, like I said. Is there a higher chance from any other player that he could have an injury due to a prior surgery? Yes. But that absolutely does not mean it'll happen, like I said. You're right, it's more semantics than anything. All good. I want him to stay healthy for the team and for himself. He seems like a world-class kid and is likely going to be our captain, IMO.

How am I going with my heart and my gut? Like I said before, I don't think the two injuries were related, so I'm not sure how they'd connect and preclude a potential future injury. If they were, and I'm wrong, yes, I think another injury could happen at that same level. But at the same time, it doesn't mean it will.

I get what you're saying, but I disagree that a prior injury indicates future result. Makes sense about the prior damage, but he's young, healthy, and athletic and is, from all accounts, going to be ready to go. I could be wrong, but I don't believe the two injuries were connected. Anyway, I get the point, but I just want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Totally agree. He's a huge cog in that d-corps. He's as steady as it comes. We're so much better with him and will be all season if he stays healthy!

I've never one to believe a guy is "injury prone" as injuries don't follow trends very often, so I get the sentiment. I think Big Z is a helluva player and until he gets hurt again, I'm 100% willing to rely on him as a player.

I assumed the announcement is related to new jerseys, but I can certainly see it revealing captains. Just not certain it is. I'll stick to my guess ☺️
