  1. I think part of what give him some space is where he is in the lineup. I don't see him as a top 6 because he needs to be able to finish more, IMO. He gets that space, in part, because he's playing against "softer" parts of the opponents' lineups. With that said, if he starts potting, he absolutely needs to move up. He's always sniffing out the puck.
  2. Man, if he figures out how to finish consistently, he could really contribute stats wise next season. He's always finding a way to make a play and get free, it seems like.
  3. My guess is Tim is saying that out of frustration. He played his physical game last night pretty well, IMO. I think he stays and logs top minutes in all facets.
  4. Because of one miss? Feels a bit harsh, but Rizzo agreed, I'm sure he isn't happy with how well he's played in Denver. Hindsight is 20/20 and it happens. Do you feel the same way about Ryder Donovan? Everyone was devastated around here when he went to Wisco...
  5. And I totally thought he was ready to go, too. I hope Kleven stays and I think he will.
  6. They're hurting for a whole team lol. Doesn't mean the need to hot shot him. Could they? No doubt and I bet they'll offer Kleven, but I think he should stay... I'm obviously biased lol.
  7. I think we'll go depth D in the portal and not bring in a freshman D, but I think your logic is perfect. The rest of that, I love. Totally agree. No reason we won't be a player big time this year. Love the outlook for 23-24, too. Imagine if Gaber stays all four....
  8. I think he goes the the USHL and I agree, would be great for his stock if he did.
  9. Why? They clearly trust us. The Sens are not a Tyler Kleven away from contending.
  10. Yeah, I don't know exactly what all happened. Regardless, I wish we had him. He had a terrific year.
  11. I won't say what I was told about the Morrow situation, but from what I was told, I don't care what he does as a college player from here on out, I think it was the right choice for him to go elsewhere. Rizzo, I think was a miss based on this season, no doubt.
  12. Where did this narrative come in? I've heard this on that God awful Facebook group, but I've never heard a sniff of this anywhere credible. If Kleven goes, it's because the kid is beast size wise, would be able to handle his own in that realm, and has grown a really nice offensive game. My hunch, and from what I've heard over the past couple of weeks is that he'll come back, but we'll see.
  13. We, apparently, asked him to stay another year in Junior and he felt he was ready. So, that unfortunately looks like a big miss.
  14. Not super surprising. Jashvina, the girl who picked us, writes about the NCHC. My guess is not many of those other writers saw more than a game or two, if that, of UND all season. Plus, UND and ND are tightly matched. I do find it silly that three writers are picking UMass into the Four and only two of them say Minnesota will win their first game. C'mon lol.
  15. Alright, everyone get off work earlier and hit the threads, please
  16. Let's fire up the gameday thread. *Hand shakes* *wipes hands on jersey* *belches nervously* The worst/best time of the year, friends. One and done. This team has consistently overcome obstacles all year and it's been such a frickin' fun ride. Let's keep rollin' Good guys in green - the REAL ND - win 3-2 Gaber, Costantini, Sendo
  17. May be a little tougher to do in hockey
  18. And Trupper ringing the post with about 6 minutes left, or so.
  19. I was told that the surgery was done right away to give Sandy any chance at all to play at the Frozen Four. Still skating to keep his wind, just in case. With that said, it's all but certain he's done.
  20. You misquoted me... I implied that that win made all the demons work so hard from frustration due to us winning that they passed away from exhaustion, duh
  21. Meh. 2016 exercised all the demons, for me. Now it's all about the whole of the program and recognizing how great some of those teams really were.
  22. I think the 20-21 team was better overall. I felt like 2020 we were playing with house money because a lot of guys exploded in their development. 20-21, basically everyone came back and we added Sandy, Kleven, and Gaber. All in all, is 2010-11 to me and it's not close.
  23. Coming into today, I wanted to avoid four teams for as long as possible -- DU, Western, Minnesota, and UMD. I'm happy with our draw. With that said, Notre Dame isn't a fantastic draw for us. Very, very good defensively. They pressure the puck like crazy and are a fast, hard team. I've seen them play against Michigan (went 4-0 against the PWR No. 1) and they forecheck and back check like demons. Not a dominant offensive team, but incredibly sound. I would have preferred to play UMass, but c'est la vie. UND is gonna need to play the with the pace they carried against Western in the third period on Friday, which is the same pace we carried against them in our sweep of them a few weeks back and when we swept Duluth. If we get that game, I think we move on. Mankato is very good, but not as good as they were last season, IMO. Harvard's puck moving D is going to give them a run. I like our chances. If we play our game, speed, short passing, effort... I think we have a great chance to head to Boston.
  24. Need? Na. Want? Absolutely. Kid looked dominant against CC and if some how he's better and we're still playing, he's absolutely going to be in the lineup and would be nuts to think he shouldn't be.
