Did you miss the part where ZERO NCHC teams landed a recruit today? It's already been said, but it looks like a lot of these guys are holding out for official visits. I can't for the life of me see how you'd make this jump to that kind of question.

I've heard, unfortunately, we're not in the mix for Celebrini and there's some talk he may not actually go college. McInnis, we're definitely in on. I've heard rumblings about Frost and Skahan, too

Good question! I believe an "official visit" per the standard of the NCAA, has to occur on campus, but I'm not sure. I know there are a million rules on how much contact a recruit can have with a coach, so I am not sure how that would work with a place like Vegas.

Seems like we may not see as much as a deluge of signings on Aug 1 this year as apparently a lot of these top guys are actually taking official visits this year.

Summer scrimmages started today. We're getting close!!! Only true rookie that was there was McLaughlin and apparently he fit right in and looked dynamic. Good start.

McLaughlin's stock went way up this season and I think it would be silly for him to jump that early. Everything I heard about him when he committed to UND was we got a steal because had he not gotten picked last year, he would have been an early rounder this year. Feels like Philly is nervous he's gonna keep blowing up and walk in three years. I'd be surprised if he goes seeing that he's a 7th rounder and would almost certainly not sniff the NHL for a long time.

We have a nice mix of impact veterans, transfers, and rookies this season. Definitely looking forward to it.
