Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but based on my superficial understanding, the pairwise is based off head-to-head comparisons or common opponents. As of this point in the season, there is not nearly enough comparisons to get an accurate picture of who is better than who across the country.

Yup we're playing a good team that's essentially already in midseason form, the pendulum will swing the other way as the season rolls on.

They did last year. In fact, about 18-20 programs had a better team. Will they majority of years? No. It amazes me how fragile fans get when UND gets beat by what used to be an "inferior opponent". The world is not imploding over a tie and 1 goal loss at an away series. This isn't the old WCHA. Mankato has a veteran roster with legitimate talent to boot, why does that threaten people so much?

Thank you for infusing some logic into this thread. I don't even know if I'd say we played poorly this weekend. We went toe-to-toe with Mankato and were one bad goal away from splitting. As long as they build on this weekend, sky's the limit IMO

Only 3 games in but one thing I can say about this years team is that they're dangerous. They can score in bunches and from any line. How about that tic tac goal goal that looked like the goal we scored in the regional finals vs michigan in 2016? Just gotta shore up some d lapses and need goalies to get in that .915+ save % range.

If so, that'd be a cool 63 years between titles for that program.

I honestly think we roll over Canisius this weekend with a couple 4-1, 4-0 games. A combination of our team being better, theirs being worse, and playing at The Ralph.

Usually they'd fly in today at the latest I believe.
