  1. Looks very similar to the Ralph especially the players lounge.
  2. Niskanen to Washington for 7 years $40.25 million!
  3. Chicago reportedly signing Brad Richards to a 1 year $2 million deal and I'd think another move would have to be coming from them considering they're already over the cap. An already tough central division has gotten even tougher this off-season with the moves that have been made by those teams so far.
  4. After watching Moulson with the Wild it just didn't seem like he fit well with the and I didn't want him back unless it was at a pretty good discount. A little surprised and confused to see Iginla get a 3 year $16 million deal from Colorado as he just doesn't seem to fit with the type of team they had last year and have been building the past few years.
  5. Why? I think it is a real good move as it really helps adding another goal scorer and they didn't tie themselves up long term to him. I know Buffalo had to spend a lot of money just to get to the cap floor but 5 years $25 million and a no trade clause for Moulson and 3 years $4.5 million seemed like a lot for a 4th liner like McCormick.
  6. Think that is a good move for him just seemed like he was never a fit with Columbus.
  7. Wild get Vanek on 3 year $19.5 million deal that includes a no trade clause. Vanek reportedly turned down more money and years from others to join the Wild.
  8. A lot of money being tossed around early on. The Blues land Stastny with a 4 year $28 million deal. Edmonton seems to just be giving money to whoever will take it with a 5 year $20 million deal with Beniot Pouliot and a 4 year $14 million deal with Mark Fayne. Former Sioux Brad Malone should have a good chance to be an NHL regular as he signed a year deal with Carolina.
  9. The Wild beat writer Michael Russo wrote in his latest article that the Wild aren't going to make an offer to Niskanen. I think they wanted him on a shorter term like 3 years and he can easily get a 6 or 7 year contract from someone. Russo mentioned Tampa Bay and Washington as destinations that make sense and I think Detroit has him pretty high on their list as well.
  10. My guess is Vanek and Willie Mitchell to Minnesota and that Niskanen will get the biggest deal of all the free agents.
  11. Care to enlighten the rest of us why he couldn't since everybody else including people close to the program were under that impression until he decided to bail for the CHL?
  12. Yes he would since he had a scholarship offer and had committed. Yeah there are a lot of hockey players who would like to be at certain schools and they're not but the reason for that is usually that they don't have an offer to that school. Whether Mantha thought there was a better option or not is up to him but if he really wanted to he could have been at UND for the 15-16 season.
  13. If he preferred to be at UND he would be at UND. Most knew when he said he would let whatever team drafted him decide his next step that it was just a convenient way for him to say he was going to the CHL. I agree with what others have already said and that is as soon as he was wavering on his commitment his scholarship offer shoulda been pulled and I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  14. Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger · 21h Looks like Matt Greene is staying in LA. Work finishing up on a 4 year deal.
  15. From Gopherhole.com: Gophers vs. UND & USD? Unofficial, but saw a couple different reports that the Gophers will host both the UND Fighting Sioux (Big Sky) and the South Dakota 'Yotes (Summit League) as part of their 2014-15 schedule. UND has advanced to the Big Sky Tournament semifinals and finals, respectively, the last two seasons. South Dakota State, a regular on the Gophers schedule, also still a possibility. For now will add to Gophers' schedule, will do more digging for more confirmation.
  16. New roster is also up and the numbers for the freshmen are: #3 Poolman #8 Schmaltz #10 Simonson #11 Olson #14 Poganski #33 Johnson
  17. The class has been announced with no surprises, Johnson, Olson, Poganski, Poolman, Schmaltz, and Simonson will all be freshmen next season. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=58684&SPID=6405&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209529180&DB_OEM_ID=13500
  18. Roster to officially be released this afternoon. North Dakota MHockey ‏@UNDMHockey 2m In need of a June hockey fix? We will unveil our incoming freshman class later this morning and the complete 2014-15 roster this afternoon.
  19. I think we will see a similar Friday/Saturday rotation like we did this year with Thompson and Ausmus between Poolman and probably Ausmus while up front there should be a little more depth and hopefully guys pushing for playing time that we really didn't see a whole lot of this past season. Here is my early shot at some lines: Johnson-MacMillan-Parks Caggiula-Schmaltz-Poganski Pattyn-Gaarder-Olson OD/Chyz-Simonson-St.Clair Thompson-Schmaltz Mattson-LaDue Ausmus/Poolman-Stecher Ausmus/Poolman-OD/Chyz-Murphy-Panz-Sanderson
  20. BU gets a big time commit however this will probably be one of those cases where they shouldn't count on him until he actually steps foot on campus as there have been plenty of WHL rumors with Bellows. Kieffer Bellows ‏@BellowsKieffer 7m I am very excited and proud to announce my commitment to Boston University! Thank you to everybody who has helped me! #GoTerriers
  21. Schlossman @SchlossmanGF · 3h Tri City's camp roster essentially confirms what was anticipated: Austin Poganski coming to UND this year, Wilkie playing for the Storm.
  22. Haven't seen Gallant but definitely agree with you on both Bowen and Peterson. Have seen both a number of times over the past year and would love to see both continue their careers at UND.
  23. Even as good as Subban is the price that it would take to get him would not be worth it. The Wild could use another high end defenseman but I think they will target that in going after free agent Matt Niskanen. The other key issue to address this offseason for Fletcher is to sign the young guys to long term deals.
  24. Chris Dilks ‏@ChrisDilks 11m Chicago(USHL) '97 F Robby Jackson has committed to St. Cloud. USHL rookie of the year; huge pick-up for St. Cloud.
  25. Over The Boards ‏@OTBPuckWatch 6m 97 F Max Zimmer (Wayzata) commits to Wisconsin. Effective playmaker led 4th-ranked Trojans in scoring as a sophomore. Our #42 uncommitted. Very good highly skilled player that I really liked but kinda guessed he might end up at Wisconsin with one of his teammates already committed to them.
