  1. Who said I agreed with it? The rules were known well in advance and they haven't changed. Pretending this whole thing is some new revelation and complaining about it is equally as void of common sense. If I'm supposed to be picking up some check at UND, that's news to me. Might have to run over to Twamley next time I'm near campus to see if they've been holding out on me.
  2. Brilliant response. UND's president wields a helluva sword if he's the one setting the NCAA testing policy that has literally been in place for all sports all season. Keep yelling into the wind about things that everyone has known about and accepted for months on end. Hopefully you eventually get the results you are looking for.
  3. Hashtagging the last game their team played as a Knockout is some next level foresight.
  4. Have you been under some sort of rock since sports have restarted? It's literally the only way you could actualy feign outrage about this. Sports across the coutnry at college and professionally level have been continously tested in the same manner the whole season. Agree with it or not, it isn't some new thing that was implemented out of the blue.
  5. No room to store it with the new floor covers that go over the permanent turf? Do they use it for anything but the Globetrotters?
  6. Midco has about the same amount of influence over TiVo as they do ESPN (possibly even less, but either way, right around zero). And ESPN has not made a TiVo compatible app. That being said, most smart TV's or a majority of the aforementioned devices do have the ESPN app so it isn't too extra work. No argument that ESPN should broadcast a few more games, especially with all the channels they have. Live sports are still live sports even if it isn't going to move the need nationally.
  7. Not even close to accurate. NDSU has had 5 player leave just this year. Prior to that, this past offseason, their likely starting PG left. The year before, their 6th man left. A couple years ago, their starting PG who had started almost 50 games his freshman/sophomore year transferred. Here's a reference to what's happened just in the Summit so far:
  8. Are you sure that you don't have an issue with him? I mean, maybe he's an issue but considering his track record, I would tend to give him the benefit of the doubt. 6 years at Black Hills State, turned them into a winner. 9 years at Northern State, turned them into a winner. He wasn't job hopping and no reports of kids leaving the program. I'm not opposed to questioning him but I'd be curious on hearing what some of these supposed issues are. Tyree is the only real loss I'm concerned about (albeit a big one) but he felt like he should have went to a bigger school from the get-go and with this year's rules, he may be able to play next year and still have 5 years to play 4 where ever he goes.
  9. Still waiting to hear some details on why you think Sather is a problem. You also seem to have no issue with a player who basically quit on him before coming back and then quitting in the middle of the year. All things I've heard of Sather have been positive, I'd like to hear some objectivity on what makes him a problem like you've stated or indirectly inferred multiple times.
  10. Just curiuos what issues you think the players are having with him. Or more presicely, how is he the problem?
  11. Not with that attitude. (Or anywhere near the original designs).
  12. Just for reference: Verbal Commits shows that last year there were 1,026 transfers, which transfer to and from D1 schools. in 2019, that number was 992. So far (and not sure how up-to-date it is since Sims isn't even listed yet), its showing 808 players just transferring from Division 1 schools and the season isn't even over yet. Nor has the ripple effect of those players landing somewhere, causing more players to transfer. That number is going to grow exponentially. This is going to be a NCAA issue going forward, though its obviously showing up in a big way at UND right now. Yes, it is a concern a few of these kids are "Sather's" but at least 1 or 2 of them were more stop-gap pick-ups to quickly plug holes in the lineup. Tyree is a concern but that's not going to be the last time someone thought they should have ended up at a bigger school and takes off for that opportunity after proving themselves for a year or two. It is a bit more frustrating due to the time UND put in to get him onto and keep him on the court.
  13. It would have to be a dome or some sort of super-protected outdoor stadium, both of which make any sort of cost even more prohibitive. Not saying it still coulnd't be done, integrating the current and new pieces, but I think the ship has mostly sailed minus some sort of crazy donation down the road.
  14. Wonder if these two things have anything to do with each other... I'll agree they didn't have to throw, but I'd also feel comfortable saying after 5 games, they haven't shown any capability to do so.
  15. So the guy who actually spoke with them understood it completely different than someone who wasn't part of it. Guess I know which one I'd find to be more accurate.
  16. If you're referring to Kolpack's comment, pretty sure he's confusing and connecting two separate conversations. I also doubt that SDSU was doing a ton of gameplanning for NDSU the week of their SIU game. One of the Argus Leader's writers (who actually cover one of the team invovled) corrected him.
  17. I think they played it pretty safe against WIU intentionally so that one doesn't bother me. Saturday was concerning. Didn't even have to make them one-dimensional, they literally are. I don't think they exposed anything, they just outschemed and outplayed UND and that's a problem. Fixable but better do it real fast. Agreed on the reffing, didn't cost UND the game (that'd be the rush defense) but a few of those calls/non-calls/spots definitely made it tougher than it should have been.
  18. That can still be called pass interference however it does become even more of a judgement call than normal. Pretty decent argument that the throw was not "high and deep" nor did it simulate a scrimmage kick. "When there is contact by a Team B player that otherwise would be pass interference during a down in which a Team A potential kicker, from a scrimmage kick formation, simulates a scrimmage kick by throwing the ball high and deep."
  19. I thought so too. Couldn't even get there with overtime.
  20. Watching the couple hits Miller took in limited action last week, he hasn't learned ot adjust to protecting himself at the college level yet. You would have to believe that Holinka is going to bring a few looks that a brand new QB has never seen before. Need to keep him from getting too many yards with his legs because I don't think his arm/decision making will win NDSU the game.
  21. From unofficial sources, Miller will be starting but Entz won't release the info. Not a shocker, was just hoping he might be stubborn enough to roll Noland out for a few series.
  22. Except for on depth charts and injury reports, correct? They were probably recovering from their slobberknocker against Missouri State the week before where they eked out a 27-20 win where they needed two 4th quarter TD's to pull it off.
  23. Flagship =/= Land grant
