  1. Great win against #4 projected on MWC. Was nice to see them value through foul trouble the whole game with the bigs. Impressive!
  2. I think all of the names coming back are legitimate impact players.
  3. If they have been here 4 years and are graduating, I could see it.
  4. Actually it would be. UND needs to get to 7 wins and the week after won't be easy. Now, if their bus trip happens to take 8-9 hours instead stead of 6, that'd be just fine....
  5. It'd be a crime not to.

    Polls

I had not heard the hotel room issue before, but that would be a bit surprising as I would assume that would be part of the bid process that needs to be submitted and I know the athletic department pushed to put out the best bid they could. They even go as far as providing real locker rooms with running water for both teams (which somehow wasn't part of the criteria)!! I do know that UND one of the top bids that year (top 3 I believe) with UNI and Nicholls being ahead of them. It was an aggressive bid and just bad luck on the draw. The athletic department understands the importance of those playoff games being at home.

    Polls

Summary of the two main computer rankings plus the 3 human polls somewhat averaged out and include the strength of schedule (as of today). Probably missing some teams, I only used the top 31 (through SIU) in the coaches poll. Guessing a few of those lower ones would be replaced by some others but goes to show how bad the coach's poll is.
  8. Attempted 5. Completed 3. Actually 4, since WIU caught one as well.

    Jerseys

But if you want a throwback jersey, they aren't exactly making any new ones of those these days. I've seen them, would call them good quality.

    Polls

7-3 in the FCS against what is projected to be the #2 SOS? UND is in. Win this week and then house money the weekend after.
  11. Could end up being a big win on the resume.
  12. Beat Sagarin expected margin by 25 and Massey by 27. Glad the team didn't fold as quick as some fans did in the first quarter. Nice, convincing W today.
  13. I've used clear without much issues. White probably works about better though. Some people prefer just using snow. Cheaper but it takes longer and won't last as long. Agree on the slope, always more than you think. Zam works well, also peaceful to do at night. Have extra pucks, they have a tendency to disappear until spring.
  14. Not that it matters, I don't think that part is accurate based on what I can find in the state salary databases, though I can't confirm 100%. Also, guessing by February, he probably knew he wasn't going to be on the staff or wasn't interested in the position he was offered. He was a solid coach and a good recruiter, not surprised to see he's continued to do well.
  15. Didn't he leave when Mussman was let go? He was WR/OC his last year here. A new coach likely wasn't going to keep the old OC at the same position and took a guaranteed job in Brookings. Doubt there was some sort of definitive pay increase to go to SDSU and be the TE coach. Can't find the info that far back but in 2017, he was only at ~$50,000.
  16. Are you saying directly addressing the problem, aggressively some might say, (like Kennedy did) instead of kicking the can down road and hope things get magically better (like Bresciani did) was actually the prudent choice despite the pushback and fallout?? The funding model was adjusted in 2013 and all the institutions had input at the time and supported it. I'm sure it is somehow "unfair" again though.
  17. UND has the head to head over UNI and Youngstown, so probably want them to keep winning (just have the same or worse record than UND). SIU winning likely helps UND as well. NDSU plays ISU-Red, SIU and UND to end the year (plus WIU). The last game of the year in Fargo could be an interesting one. USD folding their season in before they play UND would be just fine with me. They aren't going to end up as a quality opponent regardless given their current 2-5 record.
  18. Maybe the coaches will "magically" prove to be above average all due to the criticism they got on this board just like Tommy did? All that negative energy must have really fueled him to be the best he can be, not a misjudgment of his actual talent level.
  19. I like the idea if they could organized something, but the student-athletes are the ones that put on this event. Would be pretty tough when you know you aren't going to have volleyball, soccer, men's and women's cross country, football or men's hockey. For anyone that hasn't went to the actual event, it is a great one. The student-athletes do a great job with it.
  20. UND would be buried in coach and other athletic department contract buyouts, players would be reluctant to come play for a place that is run by knee-jerk reactions and no stability and UND would have zero partners that would want to work with them. But other than that, yep, things would be great!! "Biggest football fans" is an interesting way to spin it. Throw a few others in there who are just as bad or rose and I'm not sure outside of NDSU fans that there is anyone else who gets more some sort of twisted satisfaction when UND struggles or loses.
  21. I've never seen all the refs throw their flags that fast. Every one of them.
  22. You think they only have one play out of that format? I can't imagine having that much disdain for people (the coaching staff) that you'd go to those lengths to pin any and all mistakes on them with no hesitation.
  23. He just stated they were headed down today. Didn't insinuate one way or the other. He's BC is doing exactly what he should. Both he and EM were at the volleyball game last night as well.
  24. Probably because he's pretty good at his job and will talk to anyone about issues they have. But that's more work than criticizing without much reason.
  25. The Hall of Fame game is exempt, so unless they do a one-off single game (like they just announced for 2024 against Providence), it isn't a full weekend game of games, just one. And as previously mentioned, the REA is the one buying the HoF game and putting everything together (and they aren't doing that for free). Will be interesting to see how many in the future they continue to get as they have to buy the rights to game. UND is willing to pay more than most, however there is some pushback that they should be spread out among the other teams a little bit more.
