Seems like there are a few "in-the-know" around here that could clear everything up as well but are more content with thinly veiled threats and insults. As for Port's story, there are at least half a dozen people I know who could have wrote the facts out almost verbatim just a month or more ahead of time. I get why some are attacking him, but that's misguided because the mess was out there for over 2 years and could have easily been cleaned up before anyone heard about it. I also get why he's the one who wrote the story. Don't create problems for others to find and this isn't an issue.

I actually agree with almost all of this. My point was that BB not addressing does not equate to it being swept under the rug. On the legal side of things, this is over. But, they still haven't done much to address the public perception of it. I don't expect this to happen in a weekly presser, particularly given where the team is at right now. Over Christmas break would be a good time for them to handle it and be done with it. Blaming Port is a just people needing a scapegoat (though its up for debate on whether he intentionally didn't have the full story or not, or even tried for it). It should have been cleaned up 2 years ago. For sure, it was known by quite a few people over a month before it was made very public. I've heard where I think the blame for that should go, but doesn't really matter at this point anyway. There was plenty of time to clean it up, they didn't, they ended up having to deal with it because of that.

I highly doubt something that came in through the NDUS Fraud tip line and was investigated by the Assistant State's Attorney General is "swept under the rug". Do we need to come up with the analytics version of an explanation to help people understand it or what? Again, not saying it changes the public perception of what it looks like, but it was investigated through the exact channels it should have been. And those were well beyond the scope of anything the University had control over.

Just different info in different spots. His Twitter bio shows the 4.44. He tweeted out his UND numbers from July.
-
He shows a 4.44 on his profile. He also shows a 4.57 and 4.64 from UND's camp. Either way, I assume the staff is comfortable with what they saw this summer.

Let's go ahead and apply your own logic to your comment. By saying it, you were making an accusation and calling out one or more of the coaches out. No reason to even make such a ridiculous comment otherwise.
-
Why are you backtracking now? You literally said coaches can't have the "I just work here" mentality. It would be a pretty odd criticism to make that specific of a point if you didn't think that was an issue. Otherwise, why even bring it up?

No hats.....no phones...coming from the guy wearing a hat and has a video crew following him constantly. *I know he's referring to when he gets back, but still just a little bit funny... Plus his other son, who is a safety. Plus at least a handful of other kids from Jackson St. And apparently AZ's top WR is joining on as well.

You're saying that taking almost 14 minutes to get into double digits isn't normal??
-
I watched a bit of it. Portland missed a lot of open shots that they normally don't. Made some bad mistakes down the stretch as well. Credit to NDSU, they capitalized to get their first D1 win of the year.

2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I agree with this. Telling kids to get in the portal and saying he's bringing he's own players in? Why stick around if you feel like he's mind is already made up, which at some positions you know that it is. I mean, he introduced his son, who's enrolled at a different school, as the starting QB already. Seems just a bit premature. Maybe it will work for him? Would definitely be fun to see Colorado be relevant again. And I'm really hoping he has things clicking on all cylinders by the start of the 2024 season....

I'm sure all those rubes chanting for him to be fired are ready to contribute to the $1.4million buyout that would come with it.... Agree with your other post. They should have a better record than they do. Unfortunately, that doesn't do a whole lot other than give some extra hope that they are closer than their record currently shows. -
If he can win, he'll get away with it. If he brings his players in and there isn't a marked improvement, the shine is going to wear off real quick. People love bravado when it is backed up with performance. It gets old real quick when the results don't follow.

Yeah, I wonder where Armacost got that idea from?
-
ND Asst AG already weighed in. There was no issue. BB is fine in that matter. Not saying it cleans up the optics to the general public but Armacost isn't wrong, it's resolved from that point of view
-
Email him and ask. Bet he'll respond.
-
Correct. I missed a slightly important word there...Edited to fix it.

You're by far in the minority on that opinion, at least in the Grand Forks community. The overwhelming majority of people who've interacted with him either personally or professionally or both have nothing exemplary but reviews of him and the job he's doing.

Name names or quit with the garbage. This has been ongoing for over 2 years. If someone wanted the info out, they had plenty of time. Instead, regardless of intentions, they left a giant mess out in the open that UND now has to deal with. If the following are answered, it would clear pretty much everything up: Why did Nodak, LLC trademark "NODAK" and what were the intentions with the trademark? What is the ownerships of Nodak, LLC? We know who the registered agent is, but that doesn't necessarily equate to ownership. Why was it registered 6 months after the creation of the Nodak jerseys and if it was just going to be turned over anyway, why did it take over 2 years? And not that it actually matters that much, but who covered the costs for the trademark? I don't think it was a significant amount of money, but it was at least a few hundred dollars between registering the entity and the trademark filing.

Roof deck!!

That's what happens when you let stuff drag out for 15 months. Clean your messes up quicker.
-
More than I expected as a response. But the substance is in line.
-
Curious why don't you lay out what actually happened for everyone since you seem to have all the inside details? Plenty of people know big parts of the story (and for an extended period of time), but your tune is slightly different. I'd really like to be educated.

That would imply that adidas is printing jerseys and not checking the wordmarks they are putting on them.
