They copied UNI's formula except decided to use their 12th game to schedule a second non-counter.

You forgot to mention their campaign to keep the story on the most viewed list on the Forum's website by continuing to pull it up. Combine those with e-mails being sent to UofM's AD about hockey. Yep, the rivalry is dead.
-
Unless of course it is the AD who is suspended. That doesn't make it out unless someone accidentally stumbles upon it. In UND's own press release, Faison directly stated that further punishment may be coming from a variety of places, including the school and law enforcement.

There were minors handed out to the players that were at the dorms when the police showed up. The police never showed up at the party, so how would they have been able to hand out minors to the others? Quite certain this was detailed in multiple articles in September when this happened.
-
Glad that you are so concerned with UND athletics that you've now e-mailed Norwood Teague (UM athletic director) suggesting they don't play UND in hockey anymore and have also e-mailed the media with some updates on a story that was from 4 months ago. Must have some free time on the farm this winter.
-
Downplay it and not be proactive by issuing a release and suspending players before any charges are filed? That probably seems strange to you after watching FU's attempt at PR, but it was not downplayed and they did get in front of it. And I didn't see a word about FU in UND's press release so not sure where you get that from? You also must have missed this part: Faison clearly stated that something more could happen and it did. If you want get upset about it, then send an e-mail to the Herald for not reporting anything additional.
-
Nothing toxic coming from the FU faithful at all.... What a good ambassador you have representing FU. Doesn't look like law enforcement will have to follow up on this e-mail, but it sure makes the fan base as a whole look real good.

UND appears to be between a 3.5 and 5 point underdog. ESPN gives UND slightly over a 48% change of winning outright. NAU looks to be about .500 at home. Hopefully some people can take a minute from their quest to fire Hak and watch the game this afternoon. As always, will be interesting to see which UND team shows up on the road.

Want to add that he included Drake in the Minnesota being his best series of the season as well.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm not sure that a sixth year of eligibility is allowed if the first redshirt year was voluntary. I believe a player has to lose two years to injury, but can't find the exact NCAA rule on it at the moment. Trying to navigate the NCAA rulebook is a nightmare. That being said, if he was eligible, he would have had to play in under 30%* of the games and none of them after the halfway point. Brekke has played in 8 games so I think he would be OK there. I believe the same questions (having a non-injured redshirt year first) came up about Emmett Lynch during football, though he ended up being able to come back and play the last few games. *Edit - The old rule was 20%

This. And while state money isn't used directly, the athletic departments are subsidized in some shape or form.
-
Again, NDSU is the one with the scheduling problems this year, not UND. But thank you for your continued interest.
-
Not a good sign when the announcer clearly sees the players foot on the line but the refs don't on a 3-pointer.
-
Huff feeling it from deep. Down by 6 with 3 1/2 to go.
-
Huff with the 3, UND down by 7 with 4 to play.
-
The lack of an inside game is glaringly obvious tonight.
-
Wow was that a terrible call/great acting getting an And-1 on the off balance 3 pointer..
-
Need to play the last 10 minutes like they did the first 10 minutes and forget how ugly the middle 20 were. As ugly as that was, still very much in it.
-
How old were you in '03? 10 or 11? I doubt you have a whole lot of insight of what went on other than some revisionist history you've read on the intertubes.
-
Yet it was still your highest attended game of the year. Even more than your "rival" SDSU. Same with your volleyball team.
-
If he's 6'2" and runs a legitimate 4.50 40-yard dash, you find room for him on the field. Haven't saw any film of him on defense, but wonder if he could match up at corner against some of the Big Sky receivers.

This poll has be open for almost two years. Go back and look at one of the handful of other polls on your board that seem to pop up once or twice a year. The results are more in line with what you are seeing here. And again, UND's schedule is full this year, they aren't putting NDSU on it and playing 12 games in a row without a bye. They already have two tough non-conference games with what will be a brand new QB (likely a red-shirt freshman). The only thing I see changing UND's mind is Montana buying out their game.

Hudl video That page and this one both list his 40 yard dash at 4.50. His highlights show him playing mainly QB in high school but he is listed as playing DB as well. If that speed is legit and he's 6'2" 185lbs, there are probably a handful of options to find him some time on the field. Per this article, the newspaper named him a first team all area and: Welcome Kurt!

"Until contracts are signed, it's still tentative," he told the Grand Forks Herald. "We'll be sending (NDSU) contract drafts ... the first of next week." Short of checking GT's mail for him, I guess you should ask Izzo or Kolpack to follow-up and see if it got lost.
