That would require their minors to be reported and not kept under wraps... For the record, I have no problem with a first offense. It happens. The second one is where the line starts getting blurry. Hak definitely isn't messing around by cutting scholarship money.

I tend to agree with you. My guess is they know there are going to be a lot of people not happy with it. And a lower flood forecast that means less preparing/flood fighting probably won't help them either, though it is good for Fargo.

Can't or intentionally left unanswered?
-
Not sure how that isn't the first thing that popped into my mind, but yeah, that is likely the most logical solution.
-
And new turf again.... Wonder if UND could find a use for it and get a deal on the stuff being replaced similar to what NDSU was able to do. Not sure where it could be installed though? Soccer field?
-
Sounds like it is named perfectly....so that a corporate sponsor can pay big bucks to put their name in front of it. The B1G is realigning and renaming their divisions.

Has anyone heard a more definitive update on Adams yet? Saw he was on crutches Saturday. He had sweats on but it looked like a pretty big brace on his leg as well. Wondering how serious his injury is.
-
Correct but I don't believe he's used his red-shirt year, meaning he'd still have two years of eligibility left after sitting out next year. He'd be a great addition to pair Hooker with for a couple of years. Hopefully he enjoyed his visit!

Also forgot to mention that I was impressed with the amount of student-athletes from other sports in attendance. Saw quite a few of the men's and women's hockey team in the tailgating lot before the game. Saw the majority of the men's basketball team there for the entire game. Also saw Dodson (baseball coach) and Jones along with one of his assistants. Not sure how many others were there, but that is always good to see them supporting each other.

I will confirm what everyone else has already said, Golladay is a beast. Wow. On top of that, the WR corp looks absolutely stacked. Going to be some guys not getting some time that deserve it. I was a little surprised that Robertson didn't do much, looked like he wasn't even out there right away. Wondering if he's still learning the playbook. Both QB's had their moments and both showed some lapses, to be expected. Lots of passing, not much running but Varner, Shaugaby and Garman all had some nice runs. Saw Sparks walking around on the sideline, wish he could have seen some action. Looked like Kleason tweaked something in his leg and I think Finley left a little early as well. I can confirm that Mackey was absolutely livid at something, I think he thought someone tripped him, possibly on Golladay's run. Golladay came over towards the end and apologized towards the end of the scrimmage. Loved the energy from the coaching staff as well.

Headed over to the Alerus soon. Hope there is a decent crowd. Weather is a little chilly in Grand Forks, so not sure what to expect for the tailgating portion.

Finally a post with actual relevance today. Thank you! Can't wait for the game Saturday.

While you were doing that, did you manage to come up with the list of players with much better college stats than Kristo that have spent eternity toiling in the ECHL? Or just going to move on from being called out on that one?
-
After your dead wrong comment about how he would toil in the ECHL, not sold on your judge of talent. But I don't think anyone was comparing Kristo to Toews or Parise so not sure what your comment was all about.
-
Are you sure that's accurate? The last year that UND played a 10 game schedule was 2008 and UND played at Idaho State that year. UND has played 11 games every year since then.
-
Tom Douple, is that you??
-
I believe Yale was one of the last two teams in. They must have had 2 good nights because they beat two of the top 8 teams. The other issue is, starting next year how many autobids will there be? 6? Leaving only two at-large bids.
-
UND missed that kind of player this year with Mitchell graduating. Someone that can stretch the floor a little bit and open up the lane by pulling the defense out.
-
So you can't find anybody and are hoping someone else can back up your claim for you? Or maybe "show your work".
-
You never did list the players with much better college stats than Kristo that have been in the E for eternity.
-
It will be close (though that was accurate this year). They drew 72K this year for 18 games, which was good for the 19th best average in the nation. I would guess they will go over that by a little bit with what should be a better schedule (more "name" teams) this year.
-
Considering they had 81K+ for their spring game last year (the most in the nation), that is a pretty safe bet. Not sure what your point is though. UND hockey live chats and likely the spring football game will outdraw basketball games at UND, yet I think most people still expect the basketball team to be competitive in their conference. Just because these aren't the number one sports at those schools and don't have the fan support of those top sports, they can still be successful.
-
To your point, they get a set number of practices whether they start on time or a week late. The number they have will still be the same. The only difference is the spring game won't be the end of spring practice, they will still have a week after. Is that any better or worse? I don't think there is a difference. As for snow levels, I spent the weekend in Fargo, Grand Forks still has considerably more snow on the ground.
