  1. I assumed yes, but haven't saw anything either way. Secondary question, will it matter? How much alcohol will be snuck into the TD Ameritrade with all those people in multiple layers of clothes?
  2. Does a professor still not teach you class, have to look at your quiz, input grades, etc? And I'm not talking overall costs to run an institution, I'm asking about credit by credit comparisons on online vs in class. Interesting point. For larger classes, which are usually lower level classes, I believe that their is an economies of scale for teaching and it can be cheaper, especially since a GA or TA teaches a lot of those. When the classes get to be higher level and class sizes are smaller, along with the professor making more than a GA or TA, that is lost. Also, there are often expenses related to the cost of providing an online education that aren't often used when looking at the cost comparison such as the online infrastructure, software, hardware, etc needed to be able to provide it. I've saw a few different studies on it and haven't come up with a real good conclusion other than it is actually a lot closer than people think, though the amount varies from school to school.
  3. If you've ever attended a luncheon, Hak is always very candid both with his remarks and his answers to any and all questions. In interviews, does he brush some questions off? Of course, but I think overall he answers questions pretty directly.
  4. Curious if either of you want to expand on the difference in costs and how exactly they are much different, outside of the obvious buildings/classrooms/etc, the majority of which are already in place and don't play into the equation?
  5. Exactly. My comment was more in jest and I probably should have prefaced it with that. Different programs cost different amounts to run. Different campuses have different needs and expenses. But the reason that people keep giving that they should be funded equally is "Because". I'd like to see the reason for the need. Someone shouldn't get more or less money because someone else does. As it stands, I think that all schools across the state get too much funding and there is too much overhead/administration.
  6. The ice can be maintained up to an air temperature of 70 degrees.
  7. Here's an article giving a little update and some other random information. Group of 5 headed down Friday, meeting quite a few others. Should be a good time.
  8. According to those fans, UND isn't relevant and hockey is even less so. How can they demand equal coverage (good or bad) if what they are saying is true?
  9. They copied UNI's formula except decided to use their 12th game to schedule a second non-counter.
  10. You forgot to mention their campaign to keep the story on the most viewed list on the Forum's website by continuing to pull it up. Combine those with e-mails being sent to UofM's AD about hockey. Yep, the rivalry is dead.
  11. Unless of course it is the AD who is suspended. That doesn't make it out unless someone accidentally stumbles upon it. In UND's own press release, Faison directly stated that further punishment may be coming from a variety of places, including the school and law enforcement.
  12. There were minors handed out to the players that were at the dorms when the police showed up. The police never showed up at the party, so how would they have been able to hand out minors to the others? Quite certain this was detailed in multiple articles in September when this happened.
  13. Glad that you are so concerned with UND athletics that you've now e-mailed Norwood Teague (UM athletic director) suggesting they don't play UND in hockey anymore and have also e-mailed the media with some updates on a story that was from 4 months ago. Must have some free time on the farm this winter.
  14. Downplay it and not be proactive by issuing a release and suspending players before any charges are filed? That probably seems strange to you after watching FU's attempt at PR, but it was not downplayed and they did get in front of it. And I didn't see a word about FU in UND's press release so not sure where you get that from? You also must have missed this part: Faison clearly stated that something more could happen and it did. If you want get upset about it, then send an e-mail to the Herald for not reporting anything additional.
  15. Nothing toxic coming from the FU faithful at all.... What a good ambassador you have representing FU. Doesn't look like law enforcement will have to follow up on this e-mail, but it sure makes the fan base as a whole look real good.
  16. UND appears to be between a 3.5 and 5 point underdog. ESPN gives UND slightly over a 48% change of winning outright. NAU looks to be about .500 at home. Hopefully some people can take a minute from their quest to fire Hak and watch the game this afternoon. As always, will be interesting to see which UND team shows up on the road.
  17. Want to add that he included Drake in the Minnesota being his best series of the season as well.
  18. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm not sure that a sixth year of eligibility is allowed if the first redshirt year was voluntary. I believe a player has to lose two years to injury, but can't find the exact NCAA rule on it at the moment. Trying to navigate the NCAA rulebook is a nightmare. That being said, if he was eligible, he would have had to play in under 30%* of the games and none of them after the halfway point. Brekke has played in 8 games so I think he would be OK there. I believe the same questions (having a non-injured redshirt year first) came up about Emmett Lynch during football, though he ended up being able to come back and play the last few games. *Edit - The old rule was 20%
  19. This. And while state money isn't used directly, the athletic departments are subsidized in some shape or form.
  20. Again, NDSU is the one with the scheduling problems this year, not UND. But thank you for your continued interest.
  21. Not a good sign when the announcer clearly sees the players foot on the line but the refs don't on a 3-pointer.
  22. Huff feeling it from deep. Down by 6 with 3 1/2 to go.
  23. Huff with the 3, UND down by 7 with 4 to play.
