  1. Brewster was a very good recruiter. His 2008 class was a top 15-20 nationally depending on which rankings you look at. There is also a reason he is currently the recruiting coordinator at Florida State. The guy can get people to buy in, but can't execute the X's and O's. Need both and I think the coaching part is more important.
  2. Tim Brewster begs to differ.
  3. He should be relieved he doesn't have to write an article about FU being confused with UND since he knows where the other vote went.
  4. Am I missing something? I don't see it showing Towson having a first place vote.
  5. No clue why either of them left, but Demler was rated as the #2 QB in Wisconsin, won the award for the top QB in Wisconsin his senior year and I believe was a 2 star recruit. I don't know what Comes accolades were coming into UND but I believe he had some pretty good numbers out of California.
  6. This was his first year on campus. Moved back home to be with his baby and girlfriend. Left on understandable terms, who knows, maybe he ends back up here?
  7. I don't disagree with you and if our staff isn't doing what they should be in ND, that is disappointing. Completely separate point from a HS coach holding a grudge and not allowing his kids every opportunity possible because of a personal issue he has with someone.
  8. Wasn't talking about him. Demler and Comes were both recruited in 2010 and would be juniors this year. Since two QB's were brought in with the 2010 class, they didn't bring any in for 2011. That is where the hole in the QB recruiting comes from.
  9. As a HS coach, denying a kid an opportunity because you felt slighted by a college coach is pretty irresponsible. They should definitely have some input as they are more familiar than most families about the process (like you said) but they should present all opportunities.
  10. I agree. It isn't like the young guys couldn't have let Montana march down the field every drive until the 4th quarter. Find out now if they can play because the guys in there right now aren't exactly getting it done. I think that message is coming across slowly with Kuska starting last weekend.
  11. Weren't Bradley and Hanson the only two transfers? Two years in a row the QB recruits left, that creates quite a hole.
  12. Mainly the first one with RPI. From Wikipedia: Also why playing a strong non-conference schedule in sports like volleyball and basketball is very important whether you win or lose. NDSU's MBB is a good example of this last year.
  13. To expand on this, he was with Pearl for 10 years and was in charge of recruiting and scouting at UT. The beneifts of adding him will likely be seen beyond this year, though I'd assume he'll be able to add another dimension in the scouting aspect immediately.
  14. Mackey seeing if he can get a PF before the end of the half
  15. Nice run blocking. Shaug's goes in untouched.
  16. Interesting factoid, a dog retrieves the kickoff tee for them.
  17. Yikes, not a got couple plays for ISU QB.
  18. Will be at a wedding when the game starts. Hopefully BigSkyTV is working today.

It is so funny to see you stop by here to comment on it, still concerned on what UND is doing and their fans think, when you have a game against the #4 team in FCS.
  20. We confirmed UND isn't a top 10 team. The good news is that ISU is not a top 10 team either. Going on the road may actually be helpful for the team. UND > 30 ISU < 20
  21. Fair point, but if a coach is sitting in your living room saying that you're a good fit for our system, we like what we see in you, etc. are you really all that confident in what he says and want to commit to a program if he doesn't have a contract to even be on campus when you show up in the fall?
  22. There was a lot more leeway and they were given a chance to right the ship.
  23. Well the option was either let him go into his last year assuming he was gone or give him an extension. Recruiting in a contract year does not send a good message, giving a one year extension doesn't send a good one either. Coming off an 8-3 season, regardless of being a lightweight schedule, he was going to get that extension.
  24. I would still like to see how the extension reads and if there is a buyout. In college sports, a coach almost has to have a contract that goes a couple years out just for recruiting purposes.
  25. I've seen lines after the games. I don't know how often they are full before/how many half full runs to the arena are made before the games though. I think they should have looked into making some smaller changes before before dropping it completely. I'm sure people would complain about sitting in the bus for 10-15 minutes until it was full before it went over to the arena, but you can't please everyone.
