And if 2 successful QB's can't get into a rhythm rotating, I don't see a happy ending with two inexperienced QB's rotating. I will say I'm surprised that Bartels hasn't got another shot in some of the past few games though.
-
I would guess nothing on the bolded part since Bartels was named the starter after the Valpo game and Molberg only came in because Bartels was getting knocked around. On the switching QB's part, Mussman got absoutely blasted on this board last year for doing that exact thing (albeit with two much more game-ready QB's).
-
Fair point though I don't think they rotated when Hendrickson was in and in my post I was more referring to who would be protecting the blind side of Molbert/Bartels.

Per that list, after the Minnesota Morris game, UND's next 6 games are against the teams ranks 10-37-130-33-162-74. Lots of chances to make some noise. NDSU has a pretty good schedule as well with games against teams that are ranked 42-51-26-7 (not all in a row). NDSU will have four games plus an exhibition under their belt while UND will have only played two when they meet up. The UND game will be their 4th in 10 days with games in California-Fargo-Kalamzaoo and then Grand Forks.

A lot of it will come down to health, the depth just isn't there on mid-major teams, especially senior heavy ones like UND/NDSU. We saw how UND looked last year when Brekke and Huff were out. NDSU struggled when Braun was hurt too. That being said, #37 vs #197 is a pretty big stretch.

Last years the normal starting line was from left to right Lynch-Anderson-McGurran-Gillson-Deneui though there were some other starters due to injuries. This year it is Kleason-Anderson-Walker-Meehan-Barton/Deneui So you have a new left tackle, who protects the QB's blindside and a new center, who calls the protections for the line (and replacing a guy who had started every game for 4 years) on top of having a new RG. Yeah, sounds pretty much the same.
-
Might want to go back and check your facts on that one.
-
If I could actually find an NDSU fan who cared about basketball I'd assume they'd feel the same way. Here I thought you'd be back to talk about your women's programs you were just bragging about a few months ago, how's that going for you?
-
Not saying some players didn't get minors, I'd actually be more surprised if a couple actually didn't, but a couple weeks ago one of our NDSU friends went through and looked and didn't come with anything. Take it for what it is worth. It hasn't been on the front page for minors, again, there was at least a handful not reported this spring even though I know that Caillou and Izzo were aware of them.
-
Sounds like it is being addressed the exact same way the NDSU MIP's this spring were addressed.
-
It isn't necessary.

Now he's going to be mad you don't recognize him as a public figure Jim!!

Since you're asking, something like this is a blatant violation: @FireDennyGuy 2 Oct @ClutchKing_Kid NDSU is amazing, great program , 5 guys in nfl right now...sold out stadium, loud crazy fans & Detroit lakes beaches nearby I'm sure the above will be deleted soon since he continues to read this board (even though he is the one who yells the loudest about moving on) and has already sent out a tweet claiming he was only trying to clarify which school DF was going to go to. I find that hard to believe considering he deleted that tweet long ago and DF's answer does not seem to answer that question.
-
Will you quit posting here if you're wrong?
-
Wow. And he's sending tweets to players that NDSU is recruiting promoting NDSU. What a walking NCAA violation. Someone should see how fast Gene Taylor responds to an e-mail about something like this.

You mean kind of like showing up early for a hockey game and parking across the street in the residential areas? And as for that green space, it is what is left of the minimal available area on and around campus. I'd rather they be putting up a brand new medical school northeast of the Ralph rather than it be a parking ramp, but that is just me.

You keep saying there isn't money for coaches. What are you basing that on? You think there was a reason Faison didn't give Mussman a large raise with his extension? Like maybe he wanted him to prove himself against a stronger schedule? Faison has shown he is willing to pay coaches who have shown they have earned a larger salary.
-
Hard to argue after reading some of your posts on here.

Don't believe everything you read on a message board.

Must be trust fund babies.

Have you called or e-mailed to voice your concern?

And Mussman was a large part of that. I would argue that Mussman does pretty well at not putting up with nonsense. Players have missed games for missing classes or other team violations, redshirts have lost their privilege of being on the sideline, he has publicly stated there has been a lack of effort and discipline, etc. At this point, it seems like Mussman is a great coordinator but isn't quite ready to lead a team at this level. Not a bad thing, it just is what it is. I'm guessing Faison recognizes it and will handle it appropriately.
-
I agree completely with this which is why I said it is something you hope coaches don't use. My point was more along the lines of it not being a 4-5 year committment and if a player doesn't recover fully and can't play or doesn't see the field, its not like the scholarship would be "stuck on the books" or anything like that if they choose to not play anymore or transfer some where else where they would. I glanced at Leach's highlights, like his size. If he already has a PWO from UofM, it will definitely take at least a partial to get him here and even that may not be enough. Looks like he would be worth it though.
-
So what is Lennon's issue at SIU? Mussman was here when Faison was hired. He went 8-3 in his contract year and won a share of the GWFC. I don't care if the schedule wasn't all that great, he got an extension he deserved at the time. The amount of raise that came with it is a pretty obvious indicator to me that Faison wasn't all in on Mussman yet. Faison will pay a coach what he's worth.

My guess is he's probably frustrated because of those things. Sees that he can help on the field. But you're right, enjoy learning while you can, use it to your advantage and then when it is your time, take over and shine.
