  1. Only a few hours off. We're good now.
  2. Impossible. Izzo already reported it...with two sources!!
  3. Pretty good take. Definitely took some steps to address both lines. Some solid skill players. Still some work to do in the backfield, linebackers and secondary. Another signing day in a few months plus some players looking to move after spring ball that can fill some of those holes.
  4. Looks you might be right. I see UND released their recap already. Still holding out hope, but unfortunate either way.
  5. Not sure if its in relation to how many years they have been playing seasons of D1 but I'll humor it anyway. Also, do I get to put a conversion rate that takes into account the distance from campus? Senior or Grad Students, playing 2nd year of D1 basketball (Bjorklund, Miller, Allen, Engels) - 58% Junior, playing 3rd year of D1 basketball (Brown, Jr) - 11% Sophomore, playing 2nd year of D1 basketball (Nau) - 9% Freshman/RFr, playing 1st year of D1 basketball (Blue, Dufault, Lee) - 22% 72% of minutes came from players who grew up in the metro. 7% came from players that grew up within 80 miles of campus 21% came from players that grew up in Milwaukee or Chicago (325-400 miles away) The top and bottom numbers of location is exactly why St. Thomas is going to be a force within a few years. There is a lot of talent in the metro they are going to keep and pulling from the Milwaukee and Chicago areas to MSP/StP is a lot easier than to Grand Forks.
  6. Yes and no, depending on how you look at the breakdown. And inexperienced is probably more accurate than young, but I still think the latter applies. 41% of the minutes were played by players that were playing in high school last year (Omot, Brooks, Eaglestaff). 14% were played by players that are playing their first D1 season (Trent, Levias). 22% were played by players that are playing their second D1 season (Tsartsidze, Norman, Mathews). That leaves 24% being played by guys that have more than one D1 season under their belt (Danielson, Sueker). I mean, that is the more than the equivalent of two players who were sitting in a high school classroom last year playing a full game. That's definitely is not the norm. That being said, I think its the right move and gives UND the best chance to win both now and in the future. But there is going to be growing pains. Let's hope we get to see this group grow together....
  7. Are you asking if they are gaining something from when DeBoer was OC/QB coach for 3 seasons, the most recent being 2016? I mean, they are 35-34 since he left and were 10-27 while he was there? Maybe Chris Creighton figured something out to not be a such a doormat?
  8. I get what you are saying, because it bothers me as well, but it has kind of been a couple of unfortunate coincidences. NYC was a playoff game that wasn't known until the week before. Nashville had to be rescheduled due to CoVid and there were only so many weekends they could use Bridgestone Arena. The original game was scheduled for the same week as team playing at Western Illinois. They tried to make sure the Vegas game was scheduled for an off week but I believe Dixie State canceling threw a wrench into that. And they wanted to make sure they had 5 homes games this season. I know they pushed for a game the week before but couldn't find it.
  9. Again, kudos to the dedication but I'm not going to waste my time pointing out how ridiculous some of your comments and stances are (and in your defense, I probably lumped some other people's comments in with yours). Don't get me wrong, there is some actual valid points, but other stuff.....yikes. No luck in football. Give me a break. I mean based on your logic, the Patriots should probably fire Belichick after the bone-headed play Stevenson and Meyers made on Sunday that literally cost them the game. The coaches are responsible for coaching up the players and ensuring they make the right decision during games. That's your stance right? That easily has to be one of the worst decisions made by a player in quite a while. How could the Belichick let that happen?
  10. It's truly astounding how you can continously contradict yourself to make each and every scenario fit your agenda and you either refuse see it or are just wilfully ignorant about it. I mean, bravo to blindly have that much conviction about something I guess?
  11. Over 2 years to clean it up before it hand any chance of being public. Don't complain about "timing" when they absolutely could have prevented this from being a problem. And if even some of what I was told within the last week is close to accurate, and I have no reason to doubt it, you're just straight out gaslighting the situation. It doesn't come close to painting BB in a bad light, yet here you are, continuing on.
  12. Then how is it your duty to get so bent of shape because people aren't getting answers to clarify very fair questions?
  13. You must be new here..... Only doom and gloom allowed! Fire everyone!
  14. And with that, the first 6 figures raised go right to whoever is running it (assuming you want someone competent). Like I said, not a hurdle, but definitely something that needs to be considered when everyone is tossing out how easy it would be get something started.
  15. The biggest issue with these is having someone to oversee it and be the ultimate decider in where the money goes not to mention probably figure out how to bring donations in. That is going to require work. And (most) people don't work for free. So all the sudden you're needing to fundraise even more just to get someone to over see the whole thing. Not impossible by any means, just something that needs to be considered.
  16. Yes, but no. He was convinced the WAC held eternal FBS exemptions. That's clearly not what is going on. Teams that have happened to join the WAC are joining with teams in the ASUN to create a completely new, football only conference. Mainly because what team in this group moves the needle at all? And good luck being the highest G5 ranked team after running through that powder puff conference schedule unscathed. Stephen F. Austin Abilene Christian Utah Tech Southern Utah Tarleton State Austin Peay Eastern Kentucky Central Arkansas North Alabama UT Rio Grande Valley
  17. Kind of a key point in their plan: Whatever FBS status the WAC had appears to have long since expired. That being said, there's a group of upper Midwest schools that need to also be looking into this.
  18. Seems like there are a few "in-the-know" around here that could clear everything up as well but are more content with thinly veiled threats and insults. As for Port's story, there are at least half a dozen people I know who could have wrote the facts out almost verbatim just a month or more ahead of time. I get why some are attacking him, but that's misguided because the mess was out there for over 2 years and could have easily been cleaned up before anyone heard about it. I also get why he's the one who wrote the story. Don't create problems for others to find and this isn't an issue.
  19. I actually agree with almost all of this. My point was that BB not addressing does not equate to it being swept under the rug. On the legal side of things, this is over. But, they still haven't done much to address the public perception of it. I don't expect this to happen in a weekly presser, particularly given where the team is at right now. Over Christmas break would be a good time for them to handle it and be done with it. Blaming Port is a just people needing a scapegoat (though its up for debate on whether he intentionally didn't have the full story or not, or even tried for it). It should have been cleaned up 2 years ago. For sure, it was known by quite a few people over a month before it was made very public. I've heard where I think the blame for that should go, but doesn't really matter at this point anyway. There was plenty of time to clean it up, they didn't, they ended up having to deal with it because of that.
  20. I highly doubt something that came in through the NDUS Fraud tip line and was investigated by the Assistant State's Attorney General is "swept under the rug". Do we need to come up with the analytics version of an explanation to help people understand it or what? Again, not saying it changes the public perception of what it looks like, but it was investigated through the exact channels it should have been. And those were well beyond the scope of anything the University had control over.
  21. Just different info in different spots. His Twitter bio shows the 4.44. He tweeted out his UND numbers from July.
  22. He shows a 4.44 on his profile. He also shows a 4.57 and 4.64 from UND's camp. Either way, I assume the staff is comfortable with what they saw this summer.
  23. Let's go ahead and apply your own logic to your comment. By saying it, you were making an accusation and calling out one or more of the coaches out. No reason to even make such a ridiculous comment otherwise.
