Not that we need any more confirmation but Jay Sawvel, the UM Defensive backs coach tweeted this yesterday:

Thinking it is a likely possibility. Very interested in who the OL coach is going to be. Have like the hires so far, hoping that one is another good one.

So with the press release stating the the defensive staff is set, is it safe to assume Bubba will be helping with the secondary and Schmidt will coach ILB's? Open positions are still QB/WR/OL. Two more coaches likely (WR/OL) and Rudolph takes the QB's? HC - Bubba OC - Rudolph RB/Recruiting - Maurice DC - Schmidt DL - Gigli OLB - Schwenzfeier DB - Rodgers ST - Kostich (rumored)

From someone who mentions who he knows and is "friends" with in Grand Forks more than anyone outside of gfhockey, that is pretty funny.

Offers from USC, Nebraska, Utah, CSU, UNI, Drake and UND just a year ago. Tim Miles recruited him at both CSU and NU. Some big names that thought there was something worth pursuing with him. There was a little more to the UofM thing than how simple you are making it from what I have heard, but a scholarship was never on the table for him there right away anyway. They very much wanted him to walk-on this year and earn a scholarship though. Do not know exactly what he is getting from UND, but quite certain they are full on scholarships for this year. Time will tell how he will turn out, but more than happy to have him at UND. Can't teach height and not alot of it to go around, particularly at the low/mid-major level. Not really going out on a limb, but Hooker picking UND last year can be tied to Shanks picking UND to transfer to, though not the only reason of course.

You also claimed that Kristo would be spending 80%+ of his time in the ECHL and is a long shot to ever play in the NHL. Not a great track record as an elite hockey mind.

Sounds like St. Clair will be centering Murphy and Chyzyk on the third line tonight. Mitch Mac and Panz not in the lineup tonight but may be tomorrow.

There will be at least one recruit in this weekend per Bubba at the luncheon today. Sounded like whoever it is will be the only one though.

Looks like he was out there at the end, though with how our free throw shooting was in the last few minutes, him at 50% is probably one of the better options. Thanks!

Former NDSU player Kevin Feeney was his head coach at Moorhead with I believe one or two other NDSU football alums as assistant coaces. I think SDSU was his only other offer. Don't think UND had much of a chance on him regardless.

I can assure you it is true. It was printed in a story done about his recruiting story. Note that the "soft verbal" was because Mussman told him he completely understands if Iowa was to come in with an offer that Joe would take it.

A few of their games? How many Ferris St games did you realistically watch outside of the NDSU one? My guess is zero. Massey's (and other's) ratings are especially flawed for inter-division comparisons when there isn't enough games between the divisions to correctly and fully make the connections.
