I know that priorities and needs were different, but I drove by NDSU's campus today and after seeing their bubble, I could not be more happy with the decision to build a permanent IPF.
-
Seemed strange coming across my Twitter feed earlier. Also, I asked a buddy about it and he says it wasn't Bradley, it was another former NDSU coach who is on the Jag's staff, I guess I'll take his word for it. Edited my original post to reflect. If legal, maybe Phil could lend a hand to Jones.

Serious question - How is a former NDSU coach/current NFL coach calling a recruit and congratulating them on verbally committing to NDSU not a recruiting violation? Am I missing something about the recruiting rules about contacting recruits, especially before they have signed a LOI? Or since Bradley Wash is no longer technically associated with NDSU, it is considered OK? For the record, nothing showed UND had interest in the kid at all, so this isn't "sour grapes". Exciting for the kid for sure, but just seems strange.

I get that, but they seemed to actually go into depth a little more than normal and there was actually some substance to it.

I noticed that the announcing crew of Eric Hollins and Dickey Simpkins, who I thought were really good, were very high on Shanks and very complimentary of UND's team for the most part (outside of the obvious rebounding deficiencies). Was kind of surprised by some of what they said. They think that once Shanks gets the rust off, he'll make a big difference in UND's pick and roll game with him setting screens and popping out for a jump shot. Said he was lighting it up in the shoot around. Hopefully they are right, the offense gets bogged down more often than it should.

Gotcha, thanks. Always interesting to see what coaches have relationships and where they are.
-
Any idea which coach is recruiting there? Knauf or Maurice likely?
-
Guys have been pulled for bad shot selection. Time to start doing the same for rebounding.
-
7-1 fouls in the second half..... Make it 7-2...
-
Shanks' rust showing. 16-5 in favor of Marquette on the offense boards.
-
Tyler filling it up. Wasn't someone just lecturing us how he wasn't very good?
-
Ugh. Feels like UND has gotten bodied up quite a but down low and then Marquette gets a call on an out of control drive.
-
Not sure what's worse, UND's rebounding or Marquette's free throw shooting.
-
5 point lead at half time. UND making them settle for jump shots it's paying off. Offense has good movement but still struggling to get quality shots. Have had a handful of layups blocked as well but a hitting a few big threes has helped. Not a great half but defense is keeping them in it.
-
UND on their own little run up 26-23. Looks like UND is doubling hard down low especially on Fisher and it's working pretty well. Need to get the offense going and rebound better.

Also this part on the TV Coverage For the record, it is on Fox Sports North at 8pm.

They have a whole website to do it, one that doesn't even have opinions any different from theirs. It won't stop it.

He obviously has talent but teams are stacking the box with 8-9 guys and covering the WR's one on one with little to no safety help. I watched the SDSU game and he had between 5-7 seconds minimum each drop back to throw. Teams are selling out to stop the run, having Crockett lined up behind him has benefitted him immensely. That plan came incredibly close to working for SDSU and CCU. It worked exceptionally well for UNI. .

From what I understand, the member schools have similar feelings. Arizona State would also be subject to the same buyout clauses as any other school, so even if they were join and then jump ship, they would be paying a hefty penalty to do so, though I can't remember what the exit fee is at the moment.

My thoughts as well.

Cowboys originally had a guy lined up over the gunner but he shifted down to the line of scrimmage indicating a block formation, leaving the guy wide open. Dallas basically dared the Colts to audible and they did. The punter did his part, the guy just flat out dropped it.
-
This will be an issue very, very soon. B1G schools will have an advantage. Other schools will have to decide whether or not they will follow. UND has already indicated they will.
-
Great. Now the boys in Tuscaloosa can go after the UAH hockey program like they did to the UAB football program.
-
Oh my. I'll just put this here I guess:

I thought individual awards didn't matter?
