Glad we could clear up that your "excuse" is that a month later you don't have enough pull in the %GOBC to release even a hint. The world is shocked.
-
Inquiring minds are very curious who the mystery transfer is.
-
Georges was announced a whole month ago. That same day you claimed there were 2 more FBS transfers (RB and WR) coming but one might be iffy (and has supposedly backed out). The only other FBS transfer since then was Arrington, who in no way had been in contact with the staff the date of your claim, so there is no possible way that is who you were talking about. Who's the other transfer? It's either a RB or WR, per your claim. It's been a month, you can't divulge it yet? Not even a hint on the school or at least conference they might be coming from? At least something to prove that you aren't throwing stuff against a wall again? Simple questions.
-
You might be correct. But over the past couple years, I've heard a lot of things that NDSU supposedly wouldn't do with their schedule or what the supposed requirements were from NDSU fans and then watched the athletic department do something that doesn't follow that.
-
I won't argue that, but it I find it to be at least a little more credible than someone randomly claiming the opposite with absolutely nothing to back it up.
-
Simple questions. Why no answers?
-
The survey results say otherwise. Curious what your basing your statement off of?
-
Glancing at Freund's twitter, it would appear he's with Schmidt.
-
You said expect two more after Georges committed. And one was iffy (guessing it was the RB). So there should be one more. Five days after UAB disbanded their football team and before the UND coaches had even contacted anyone, you are claiming that Arrington was the other one?
-
So who's the other one then? Two more to come, one fell through? Was it the WR or the RB? A month later and the %GOBC won't let you at least mention what school the kid is coming from?
-
So far there are 2 FBS transfers. You claimed there would be two more after Georges. Are you claiming that Arrington was one of the FBS players that you "knew" about? Would be pretty impressive considering the staff hadn't been in contact with him when you made your original claim. Who's the other WR?
-
You realize that play was correctly called by the rules at the time correct? It was only originally ruled a fumble because that ensured they could review it as incomplete passes aren't reviewable (which is what the referees were taught to do). The Patroits were also on the other side of the exact same call earlier in the season. And also this little tidbit:
-
Well aware what the current price tag is. I'm talking about the estimates they had years ago when the nickname change was originally being debated I believe it included the process of coming up with a new one and implementation an changes across campus. It was (and will be) spendy.
-
He's the kid that just got the PWO from Oregon correct?
-
This. Can't remember the number, but it was big. Price tag is only going to grow once they come up with a name as well.
-
And all that actually assumes the NCAA would start enforcing the 15k attendance rule, which I'm not so certain they have done recently.
-
They actually did (kind of) explain it:
-
I guess that isn't necessarily a penalty: Blandino also said he was fine with the PI call either way but his opinion (hindsight) is that Dallas should have been called for the jersey grab: He did briefly touch on the facemask part but I disagree with him on the minimal contact part: It is what it is. Refs miss holding, pass interference and other calls all the time. This one was just handled in a way that magnified it.
-
Agree. It was originally announced the first committee was going to come up with a process for the nickname, and likely not the nickname itself. That part wasn't a surprise. They got a lot of insight through their town halls and the survey and from my understanding, now have a guideline on who is going to be included and to what extent. Assuming that now leads to a group of people who pick the name, I'm fine with it. If the next group selected doesn't come up with something, then it has went too far. Sidenote - Should have went into consulting. Yikes...
-
Devil's advocate: His short circuits the process and picks a nickname without all the committees, surveys, etc. and pretty make makes sure that people don't feel "included". How much outrage is there then? Not saying I'm impressed with how it has been handled, but it is more or less a no win situation.
-
Pretty much this. I guess the same argument could have been made for Shields but Shanks was out the first half of the year. Surprised he hasn't been able to work his way into the rotation at the 4/5.
-
He's got his hands in Hitchens facemask with a fully extended arm as the ball is being released, very clear from the back view of the play (see below). That could be offensive pass interference or hands to the face. They were both hand fighting the whole way, I have no issue with that. The linesman said that from his vantage point, it appeared to be face guarding, which is not a penalty in the NFL Pretty sure if Pettigrew would have been able to stop and wait for the ball, which was under-thrown, he gets that call all day. If the flag wouldn't have been thrown, it wouldn't have been a big deal, a lot worse don't get called all the time, including in this game. Announcing it before waiving it off makes it seem even worse, but I guess that is what happens when you have a crew working together for the first time. Again, no dog in the fight, I can see both sides to it very clearly, just amusing to see the teeth gnashing and conspiracy theories. Their were missed calls both ways during the game, always is. Didn't hear about all the conspiracy theories for Dallas to win when Suh got his suspension overturned. And once the first quarter ended, Detroit they had zero ability to score points. This by no means cost them the game (win probability statistics indicted it lowered their chance of winning by 15%). Edit - Here's a close up of it: https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/332953AA151163695768922963968_303efb7c1d8.1.5.11586357592793758305.mp4?versionId=BJ.aaHGqNZHhrqcMHdrWR6WN_S5TgMxG

Can't.....help.....it......
-
Yeah, he had 2 sacks and 2 TFL. One of them he basically grabbed Romo with one hand and took him down, prevented a big play.
-
I mean the fix was clearly in for Dallas, otherwise Suh would have had his suspension overturned and got to play right?
