  1. If average is making All-MVFC teams in any capacity and being mentioned for Walter Payton Watch Lists sign me up for that or above average every season!!
  2. They'd claim there is nothing documented that the student body is unhappy having males significantly overrepresented in both opportunities, scholarship dollars and investments into programs when compared to the M/F ratio of said student body. Frankly, they'd probably be right because I don't think people understand how precarious of a position schools using Prong 3 put themselves in if someone was to decide to complain about lack of opportunities. If someone were to complain, it would be pretty interesting to watch them try to defend their position.
  3. Police didn't put the business name in the police report, just the address. They had something about it in the article, but not until quite a bit further down and why they said the didn't identify it initially. Thought it was strange they didn't put that a bit further up though.
  4. Yeah, that one I'm sure. I'd prefer to remember the time UND got a transfer RB from UNI who was buried on their depth chart and he managed to earn a second team all-conference selection for UND and proceeded to get a shot with an NFL team. Edit: Can you imagine being such a negative person that you downvote a Tyler Hoosman appreciation post? Talk about a guy who worked hard, put in the effort and earned everything he got once he finally got a shot.
  5. Yep, mistake on my part and fixed. Yes, SOS has a huge impact including playing 3 of the top 4 offenses plus 3 more in the top 30, plus an FBS school. Agreed that the defense probably didn't feel that high, but again, on average, seeing much better opponents than average and the drop off outside the big 2 or 3 conferences can be pretty huge. In the end, doesn't mean a whole lot but thought it was interesting from a completely analytical/unbiased point of view as to where the ranks have fallen the last decade.
  6. Here's where Massey has UND's defense the last ten years (first 6 with Schmidt as DC, 2 3 with Holinka, 2 1 with Schwenzfeier): 2023 - 26 2022 - 30 2021 - 7 2020 - 10 2019 - 23 2018 - 21 2017 - 48 2016 - 15 2015 - 37 2014 - 52 2021 is an odd one, but guess that's what happens when you have 5 one score FCS losses by a total of 23 points. 2020 is odd for its own reasons. Edit - Fixed when Holinka left/Schwenzfeier started
  7. I made zero predictions. Didn't state that 3rd or 5th or anything was good, bad or indifferent. Specifically pointed out the fact that there were 6 teams in the top 3 spots in the standings last year so being picked 5th (which again, means nothing) would have had them landing exactly where they did last year and it isn't a catastrophic fall off a cliff like some others tried sell a pointless prediction as.
  8. Considering there were six teams in the "top 3" last year because 4 teams tied for 3rd, it appears they are picked to finish in line with where they did last year. But continue to find a way to put a negative spin on everything.
  9. Makes sense since he was on New Rockford-Sheyenne's track team this spring, which Bo's dad coaches.
  10. My sources say different. It is what it is. Walters wanted a change of scenery.
  11. The most promising thing continues to be that a lot of these offers, particularly the one's that people complain about, come from the camps where they are evaluating the players against others, with many of them being players they have had their eyes on already. They are seeing in person how recruits stack up head to head and not worrying about what other schools have seen from tape.
  12. Marshall/Miam/UNI/WMU Air Force/Army/Colgate/Columbia/Cornell/Dartmouth/Fordham/Harvard/Lafayette/Illinois State/UNI/NIU/Penn/USD/Yale Good way to end the week.
  13. Bolton and Menk got the study contract. They have a pretty positive reputation in their field from everything I've seen. They have also been around for a long time, so I doubt it is "his son's company". Maybe he's employed there in some capacity but he isn't an owner.
  14. This is accurate from my understanding. While it is what I consider a "soft" cost, it there is some sort of internal transaction between athletics and the University for that is accounted for.
  15. I think that's how you get in trouble with mis-appropriation of funds.... From what has been reported, there were benchmarks that needed to be hit before the City started paying out money and none of those benchmarks had been hit yet.
  16. No one is talking (publicly) and the City doesn't have any money invested yet. Work site has been cleared out for 2 weeks now. I think there are people living in the at least one of the buildings so curious what has been communicated to them considering rent is due on the 1st. Investors are likely going to start talking next week if their monthly payments don't show up.
  17. I've heard it from a few places as well. Not sure it will end up working out but it is in the realm of possibilities.
  18. Difference being the state sole purpose and basis of the REA's non-profit status is to "Support UND Athletics". Something tells me private equity is going to be looking for something a little bit different....
  19. He's only cracks the top 3 worst offenders in Fargo by default...
  20. He should try to get on with Forum Communications!
  21. Yep, word for word exactly what I said!!
  22. Great OC (jury obviously still out) doesn't automatically make a great HC. Countless examples of that being true, including a recent one at UND (with plenty other reasons that it was a giant mess). Or maybe he proves himself for a few years and there is a smooth transition. Who knows.
  23. My interactions with him and watching him have been positive. He played with and is good friends with Pawlak, guessing a slightly different style of coaching though. Pawlak left really big shoes to fill though. Once you've seen him, not hard to pick him out of a crowd. Looks like he could still play tackle with no issues.
  24. Why would a bus league start adding flights? Private schools lose way too much power as well to go along with that.
  25. 2 years left on his contract. Considering the facilities improvement he's help oversee along with non-performance related items (academics, community service, budget, etc), I don't see him getting let go a year early because of 2 programs. Would be an interesting question for Armacost on how on field vs off field things weigh into the decision.
