I figure I'll hit up Senser's. Only have to pay for beer (The Sioux play better when I have beer during games lol). Guessing that will be cheaper than buying on pay-per-view would that be an option.
-
I have the sports package on Comcast in Minneapolis. And looking through my channels, ESPN3 is carried on my TV as a "pay-per-view" channel. That's all I know. I would assume this means you could purchase the game, but I don't know for sure.

The WIld suck... I keep telling my parents this and they should follow some of my favorite hockey teams but they are fiercely loyal to my home state. I'm okay with the Packers winning the superbowl this year if it means what happened in 97 follows. I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

LAME. The boys do not do well when I cannot watch. Case in point: Yale, last year. Great.
-
I won't bet against BC... but I will pick another team in my bracket.

Man... I wish like hell I could go. Sadly, my job ends on Friday so the finances will be tight for a bit as I just bought Frozen Four tickets (hoping for the best!). If I get really desperate if we win Saturday, I could potentially make the drive on Sunday for the game, but I'd guess that won't happen. BOO. Cheer loud for me. (don't think I'd have much of a voice considering this last weekend all the yelling I did)

Jersey Sightings at the WCHA Final Five (Thursday)
siouxforce19 replied to farce poobah's topic in Men's Hockey
I spotted a Boston College jersey. -
That's what I was noticing when looking for tickets -- very expensive. I was beginning to think it was a lost cause trying to find tickets. I feel pretty fortunate to find someone willing to sell them to me at face value.
-
I wouldn't. Gardiner, yes.
-
In the guys defense, I didn't see them posted there. I think he just saw my post looking for tickets and emailed me and offered them to me.
-
I'll concur on this the USCHO is a great place to look for tickets. I got Frozen Four tickets for the Denver Frozen on USCHO, and I actually placed a Wanted add for tickets and got mine for this year's Frozen on there as well. So I've had good luck on there. So for those looking for tickets, definitely check it out. Some people won't try to rip you off. This does not include the guy that emailed me offering tickets in his suite for 800 a piece Buddy if you happen to be reading this: I got four tickets for under the $800 per ticket price you offered me. Nice try. Oh, as a P.S. one of my friends decided to be a d-bag (again) and pretty much bailed on the Frozen this year so I have an extra ticket if anyone is wanting to go. If so, feel free to PM me.

Well, I heard on KFAN that the Panthers aren't pleased with his development because at times they didn't like that he wasn't used in his natural position, the center position and they put him on the wing for a while. But... I think he was back at center towards the end? Maybe a Gopher fan can verify this. THere was a prospect article apparently where they commented on this. I think that's why they aren't happy with his development at the U. But I think he'll stick around because he has the opportunity to play an increased role next year for the Gophers at center and I'm sure the Panthers would like to see how he does with more responsibilities. Again, I don't watch the Gophers enough to know how much playing time and responsiblities he had.

Agree completely.

They were talking about something along these lines on the radio last night too. More so about the "Defensive Player of the Year" award and how they should change it to the "Defensive Player with the most points" Award.
-
I hope Matt wins the Hobey so I can shut the gopher fans up that keep tweeting me about what a horrible person Matt is and how he should be disqualified. I'm starting my own personal Frattin for Hobey twitter campaign just to piss them off. I'm glad my parents taught me not to judge people.

When I watch the state tournament and in some of the class A games, I'm baffled some of these schools are classified as A. When i think of Alexandria, I think of big school. My cousins went to school there, while my high school enrollment was just over 500. So some of the schools like Alex and the like I'm like, "and they are an A school, because...?" But I suppose it's different for all sports. My high school didn't have hockey .... and still doesn't so I didn't follow it much in high school.
-
no. it's Zajac.
-
I heard that St Thomas wants to move up to AA but the higher up's in the school's administration want to stay at A and won't let them move up...
-
Did you miss when they asked about that on TV? And no, they are not related. There was an article about him in the Fargo paper and his coach confirmed that they are not related. His coach seems to think he might not end up in the wcha because he's got like a 3.89 gpa so he could go ivy.

He is indeed having hip surgery. Date for the surgery has already been scheduled. He's been playing hurt all season as he got injured during Elite League. From what I'm hearing... and speculating...is that most schools are hesitant to offer him a scholarship because of the injury. Can't blame them. It's difficult to commit to a player without knowing how he'll respond to the surgery. I believe he's drafted by Green Bay of the USHL, so I'd expect him to be there next year. I'd love tohave him in Sioux green.

Right, Tate Maris is I believe 21? He was credit wise, a sophomore at UND when he was named the team's 3rd goaltender last year.
-
I don't know about trash it, but since I live in Dinkytown, I could "get trashed" in it afterwards... was that an inappropriate comment? if so... my bad.
-
Kind of along the same lines with the needing the favorites to win, the number of auto bids the NCAA has to give will greatly influence whether the Gophers get in or not. You have the AHA auto bid, the Gophers don't want the NCAA to have to give auto bids to Hockey East or ECAC or etc... because they would have to be higher in the pairwise then to get in, so that goes along with the needing high seeds to win... and teams that are already in the tournament.

Mike Chambers from the Denver Post posted a few of his all-WCHA picks. It's located near the bottom of his blog post. http://blogs.denverpost.com/sports/2011/03/07/du-hockey-odds-and-ends/16218/

Time to start ending people's seasons! I'm ready for the playoffs. Not that my readiness matters
